New Baal Predator rumors fit 11th Edition’s habit of rebuilding classic kits, right after the Land Speeder and Ork Trukk got the same glow-up.
Keep the salt handy, because GW hasn’t previewed a new Baal Predator; these are just rumors. What Games Workshop has confirmed is that Blood Angels rules are getting updated alongside the new Codex: Space Marines, and will get their own book eventually this edition as well. That’s all we know for sure right now
Still, the timing does make a lot of sense. First, the Land Speeder came back after a long hiatus, then the Orks got a real Trukk again, and now we’re hearing about a Baal Predator during a pretty slow release cycle. It sure looks like GW is working down the same list to update nostalgic vehicles, and that’s why this rumor has a little more weight than the usual “trust me, bro.”
It also arrives right in the middle of the Armageddon launch, which is basically using nostalgia to sell miniatures, and the Blood Angels have been front and center. So why not rework the Baal Predator as the centerpiece for their new codex release wave?
Picture a Bigger Baal Predator, Not a Repulsor in Red Paint

Make it big enough to look right next to Intercessors, just don’t act like a whole squad of Primaris Marines needs to stand upright inside it. Isn’t that what most Blood Angels players want anyway? Nobody’s desperate to rebuy their entire roster of vehicles. They just want the tank on the shelf to be proportioned to the rest of their collection.
With the new Codex: Space Marines out, a properly scaled Baal would give the Chapter a fresh vehicle to build around.
GW Already Rebuilt the Land Speeder and the Trukk This Way

The Orks got much the same treatment. The Wartrakk was reworked first, followed by a new Trukk as part of the Ork codex wave. And again, it’s not something unrecognizable, it’s just a Trukk updated for the current state of 40k.
Blood Angels Don’t Need Cawl to Explain a New Baal Predator

That gives GW an easy way to introduce a “new” Baal Predator that still feels old. There’s no need for Cawl to walk in carrying plans for the Baal Predator Primaris Maximus Mk II. Just say the Blood Angels continued refining one of their most treasured patterns using STC records and Chapter artificers nobody else gets near. Done.
Of all the chapters, the Blood Angels have one of the biggest chapter-specific armories. Beyond the Baal, the Blood Angels have the Furioso Dreadnought, Librarian Dreadnoughts, Death Company Dreadnoughts, and some odd Land Raider patterns. So it makes sense for them to keep refining their own armory without outside influence.
Space Wolves, Templars, and Dark Angels Already Got Their Classics Back

The Space Wolves 2025 refresh brought back Blood Claws, Wolf Guard, Wolf Priests, new Terminators, characters, and a new Codex before tying them straight back into Armageddon. Black Templars kept modernizing around their Crusader identity instead of dissolving into generic Primaris Marines.

Blood Angels got a major infantry and character refresh in 10th, leaving vehicles as one of the more obvious gaps in the range. A reworked Baal starts filling that gap without tossing out something the Chapter has been known for across decades. It’s a simple release, and GW would only need to update one kit to keep the hype going.
Final Thoughts on the Baal Predator Rumor
Until GW actually shows the kit, this is firmly a rumor.
But say it does happen, that tells us quite a bit about where 11th Edition may be headed. For years, the question was, “What new Primaris unit replaces this old Space Marine thing?” Now the question looks more like, “How does GW make the old thing again, properly scaled for the current range?” The Land Speeder came back, Space Wolves got reworked into the bigger size, and Dark Angels kept their Deathwing instead of watching it disappear into generic Terminators.
Blood Angels could be next, and one red tank might tell us a whole lot about what GW has planned for this edition.

What do you think of the Baal Predator rumor, and which classic Blood Angels kit would you want rebuilt next?

I want them to bring back (or finally get a proper mold) for the Repressor, the Arbites Rhino varient that the Sisters have borrowed. Both factions should have access to it as a dedicated transport. It sucks the original mold got damaged, so let’s get a new one made to help those armies out.
