A New Guilliman: Space Marine Primarch Model Rumors

Roboute GuillimanPrimarch models are always headline news, and the latest chatter points to some big names possibly stepping onto the stage. Guilliman’s current model dates back to 2018, and while it still looks sharp, he’s one of the best-selling characters in Warhammer 40k.

More UltramarinesWith Games Workshop pushing a wave of new Ultramarines kits and hinting that more are on the way, the timing feels ripe for a new Guilliman sculpt to tie everything together.

What seems more likely is that there isn’t a new Primarch model coming for 40k, but rather a new plastic Guilliman model is coming for the Horus Heresy’s Ascendant series of models.

Valark even updated his rumors to say that Forge World’s product line will stop using resin with the introduction of Angron’s new model and go all-in on plastic for the rest of the Primarch Series.

LorgarOn the Chaos side, the whispers don’t stop there. Word is that Lorgar, the original architect of the Heresy and long-missing Daemon Primarch, could be next in line for a plastic resurrection. Pairing Guilliman with Lorgar in an end-of-edition narrative arc would create the kind of clash that sells models, drives lore, and reshapes the competitive scene.

It’s still unconfirmed rumor territory, but if both a new Guilliman and Lorgar hit shelves around the 11th Edition transition, even if its for Horus Heresy, we’d be looking at one of the most devastating Primarch face-offs in recent memory.

Space Marine New Model Rumors For 2026

10th-Edition-40k-warhammer-rumors-2

Earlier this summer, we had the confirmed double-drop of the Black Templars and Grey Knights codexes landing together.

Now, here’s where things start to heat up: the Space Marine Codex 2.0 chatter is back, and all fingers point to it being on the horizon for 11th. In 2025, just saw Vulkan He’stan, Lysander, a White Scars HQ on a jetbike, and some love for Raven Guard, Iron Hands, and more with new Combat Patrols and codex rules downloads.

But with summer fast approaching and the possibility of the 11th Edition starter box being revealed at AdeptiCon, we might not see codex 2.0, and all these models could drop right at the start of 11th Edition with a new codex and plenty of new plastic.

Speaking of which, summer might be closer than it feels. Rumblings of a new edition, Space Marines vs. Orks starter set, and all are getting louder.

New Space Marines Models For 11th Edition

Concept image of what the rumors say the new 40k 11th Edition Starter Set could look like.

If the rumors are real, the Marine half of the starter set sounds like it wants to hit you fast, hold the mid-board, and make you regret leaving anything expensive in the open. Supposedly, they will be painted like Blood Angels but can be used for any chapter.

Vanguard Veterans (we have more about these rumors below) are the headline, bringing that classic jump-pack “show up and start deleting units” energy. Especially if the Jump Chaplain lands right behind them to keep the party loud and lethal. When paired with the new Jump Captain, they will be a formidable force.

On the core side, there’s chatter about a refreshed Intercessor Squad kit with mixed armor marks, which is GW’s favorite move: new look, same reliable boltgun job. As the other rumors say, there will just be Marines, no Primaris or Firstborn.

Space Marine Captain in Gravis ArmourThen you’ve got the chunky end of the menu with Gravis melee bruisers, not a ton of info yet, but something that hits hard and stays alive. Then to add more firepower, there are rumored Gravis heavy bolter squad that sounds like “Eradicators, but for bolters,” meaning tough bodies that bully the mid-board instead of politely asking it to move.

To glue it all together, a Techmarine keeps popping up, which makes a lot of sense if the box also includes a Redemptor-style anchor model. Basically, being a new armor mark centerpiece that’s meant to be the big “deal with this or lose” unit.

And for extra speed and angles, the whisper mill is still pushing a new Land Speeder or Storm Speeder-style refresh (more on these below), basically a two-seat skimmer with swap-out guns designed to zip around and ruin someone’s plan on demand.

New Space Marine Model Rumors For Vehicles & Bikes

On the vehicle front, more Space Marine rumors about updated track units have resurfaced. The Rhino and Land Raider are the front-runners for a glow-up, and if they’re following the slick redesigns we saw in the Horus Heresy plastic kits, we might finally be saying goodbye to fiddly gaps and hello to smoother builds.

land speeder stormMeanwhile, the skies might get a little busier. Rumors suggest new Land Speeder variants are in the works. Could these be a reimagining of the Scout Land Speeder that’s now relegated to legends, or something entirely fresh?

Either way, there’s a buzz about fast attack slots getting a much-needed shake-up, and it’s hard not to speculate about what designs might swoop in.

outriders whcOn the ground, there’s talk about a long-requested multi-part Outriders kit. The single-pose bikes were fun at first, but the community has been craving more customization options for ages. Imagine adding new weapon loadouts or even a character to lead the charge.

This potential release feels like it could fill a glaring gap and bring some speed to the table in more ways than one.

New Primaris Vanguard Veterans

Vanguard VeteransAnd let’s not forget the Vanguard Veterans. These airborne bruisers are circling the rumor mill hard, with whispers pointing to a long-awaited update. Of course, as mentioned above, these seem to be slotted for the 11th Edition Starter box.

The idea? Sleek new sculpts with a more Primaris-friendly vibe, packed with the kind of dynamic poses that make collectors start mentally rearranging their display shelves before the sprues even hit.

Space Marine Jump Pack Captain Warhammer DayThe real spark here is Games Workshop’s Warhammer Day drop: a shiny new Captain with a jump pack and relic shield. Not a one-day exclusive, either, this model is sticking around in the main Space Marine range.

Space Marine Jump Pack Captain Warhammer Day DetailsLook closer at the details, and you’ll spot the hints: veteran-style insignia, like the knee pad markings, that tie directly back to the current Vanguard Veteran kit. Coincidence? Probably not. It’s a strong signal that this Captain was designed to slot right in with a refreshed Vanguard Veterans squad.

Of course, timing is still in the air. The rumor mill had pegged their release for this year, but word is things may have been nudged back. But as of right now, the most likely release date would be in the 11th edition launch box.

Show up alongside Ork Stormboyz as a counter-punch? Or arrive in a standalone kit? Either option seems possible.

Ravenwing Reforged: The Fastest Angels To Get Their Due?

Dark Angels Ravenwing Detachment Rules 5

Dark Angels fans, your patience might finally pay off. 10th Edition gave the Deathwing a full makeover, leaving the Ravenwing in their exhaust fumes, same bikes, same landspeeders, same “cool but crusty” vibe. But if the whispers are true, 11th Edition is where the Ravenwing hit the tabletop like they own it.

A new Sammael model is rumored to lead the charge, possibly on an updated jetbike that doesn’t look like it came straight out of 2006. On top of that, there’s chatter about reworked Landspeeders and an overhaul of the standard bike kits.

Translation? The whole Ravenwing range might finally catch up with the sleek aesthetics and build quality of the rest of the Space Marines.

Sammael of the Ravenwing

For players who’ve been hoarding old Ravenwing kits or trying to make the old sculpts work in a Primaris world, this update could mean less kitbashing and more clean builds straight from the box.

Second Founding Chapters: Space Marine Rumors

CM Pedro KantoValrak seems to think that Pedro Kantor and the Crimson Fists are getting a whole lot of love lately. They’ve been nudged into the narrative more often, and while there’s no hard confirmation yet, the signs are all over the place: lore mentions, spotlighted artwork, and a very Pedro-shaped hole in the current model lineup.

Smart money says their new mini won’t land until 11th edition, but it’s looking like a solid bet that they’re on the roadmap.

Gabriel SethOn a different front, the Gabriel Seth crowd should keep an eye on the closing stretch of 10th edition. Once those final codexes are out of the way, it sounds like GW will shift gears into campaign territory.

And that’s where Seth might finally swing his chainsword back into action with a new model and rule refresh. He’s always had that “last man swinging” vibe fitting for the Flesh Tearers, and it would be a great time to give him more than the wild-eyed scowl he’s been stuck with since resin ruled the land.

Predator Raptors 2nd CompanyAnd then there’s Lias Issodon and the Raptors. This one’s more of a breadcrumb trail than a flashing neon sign, but let’s be real, when decals for your chapter start appearing in recent kits, people are going to start asking questions. Issodon has always been a fan-favorite for sneaky, surgical warfare, and with the increasing spotlight on narrative-driven play, he’d slot in nicely with a new unit or detachment.

The Raptors’ style of play is already a hit, think less “smash with hammer,” more “stab in the dark,” and the market’s absolutely there for it.

They’re relatively easy to fold into the existing framework without rewriting the galaxy, and that makes them ideal targets for new kits and campaign hooks.

Classic Space Marine Armor Making a Comeback in a Big Way?

If you’ve been paying attention to the latest rumors in the hobby scene, you might have noticed something interesting: Games Workshop seems to be gearing up to make all Space Marines, well… just Space Marines again.

No more rigid Primaris vs. Firstborn divide, just power-armored warriors decked out in an array of classic and modern armor marks, all scaled up to fit the modern aesthetic.

Supposedly, there may be only “Space Marines,” no more “Firstborn” or “Primaris.”

fauxhammer Horus Heresy Space Marines miniatures size comparisonsThis move is long overdue. The old armor marks, from the rugged, rivet-heavy Mk II and Mk III to the sleek, high-tech Mk VIII, have a serious fan following. For years, players have wanted to see these designs return outside of Horus Heresy releases.

If the rumors are true, we’re looking at a full range of Primaris-scaled Marines rocking everything from relic suits to freshly forged armor, bringing back the best of both worlds’ iconic history with modern proportions.

astartes II scythes of the emperorThis shift makes perfect sense. The Astartes 2 trailer gave us a hint at different armor styles being in play, and with the Horus Heresy 3.0 edition launching an Mk II armor-heavy box.  So, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a steady rollout of power-armored warriors in all flavors over the next year.

A big Horus Heresy box set packed with infantry could drop first, giving players a full wave of classic armor, followed by a wave of 40K models six months later that reintroduces those legendary designs in a way that fits modern tabletop battles.

MK III Horus Heresy Tactical SquadFrom a practical standpoint, this is a win for hobbyists. More armor variety means more customization, more dynamic army compositions, and let’s be honest, more reasons to expand the backlog of unpainted models (we’ve all been there).

It also gives Games Workshop an organic way to refresh older units without having to reinvent the wheel, keeping long-time players happy while making the faction more accessible to newcomers.

If these changes roll out alongside 11th Edition, expect a shake-up in the lore and rules to match. Whether that means a new starter set featuring these classic armor designs or a gradual expansion remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: Space Marines are about to look better than they have in years.

Final Thoughts from us on New Space Marine Rumors

If you’ve been holding out for new Outriders or tracked vehicles that don’t feel like relics from 2004, you might want to start reorganizing your backlog. There’s a plastic storm on the horizon, and it’s coming with characters, vehicles, and box sets stacked to the ceiling.

If even a fraction of these rumors pans out, your army, shelf, and wallet are all about to get a serious workout.
