Two new miniatures are dropping for Warhammer Day 2025: Urkhan the Dark Warden and a new Space Marine Captain with a jump pack, for the event scheduled in late October.
Warhammer Day is creeping closer, and this year’s celebration packs a punch with not one but two fresh miniatures (and we’re hoping for a big preview after the lack of recent ones).
On the Warhammer 40k side of things, Space Marines score a second jump pack captain, and Chaos gets the spotlight with a grim Exalted Hero.
According to Warhammer Community, these minatures will be avaialbe at both Warhammer stores and independent stockists as well.
So, if you’ve been looking for an excuse to add something striking to your display shelf or army, these commemorative releases might be just the ticket.
Urkhan the Dark Warden: Chaos Champion of the Celebration
The Commemorative Series miniature for this year is Urkhan the Dark Warden, an Exalted Hero of Chaos who looks like he just stormed straight out of a blackened fortress. The sculpt delivers everything fans love: a windswept cloak, heavy armor, and a pose that screams dominance.
You get two head options here. The classic Chaos helmet comes topped with an eight-pointed star, while the alternate scarred visage gives him a more brutal, personal touch. Either way, Urkhan radiates the kind of menace that fits perfectly in a Warhammer Age of Sigmar Slaves to Darkness army or as a display piece.
As with other exclusive minis, Urkhan will be available around Warhammer Day in late October while stocks last. If you want him, don’t drag your feet. Once these are gone, they’re gone (or they hit the secondary market for way more).
Space Marine Captain with Jump Pack
Sharing the spotlight is a brand-new Space Marine Captain, complete with jump pack, relic shield, and thunder hammer. This release is exciting for Warhammer 40k players who might need another flying captain or just want some variety.
The kit comes with multiple build options: swap the thunder hammer for a chainsword if you prefer something faster, and choose between different head sculpts to suit your chapter’s character. Unlike Urkhan, this model isn’t limited to Warhammer Day. He’ll be joining the core Space Marine range, making him easier to snag if you’re not ready to commit on release day.
For players building competitive Space Marine lists or just wanting to add a centerpiece character to their force, this captain may have new rules in the rumored Space Marines reboot before 11th.
