A new Warhammer Nobz sprue leaked early, reportedly after GW accidentally packed it inside a Stormraven Gunship box that reached a hobbyist.
Imagine opening a Stormraven Gunship box and finding Ork plastic instead of the Space Marine flyer you paid for. That’s reportedly what happened, sending the Nobz sprue into the wild weeks early. Luckily for GW, they already covered the official reveal of the new Nobz for the Codex: Orks, so this wasn’t a mystery kit.
That takes a lot of the sting out of the mistake. Codex: Orks season had already put these greenskins out in public.
Word is the sprue first surfaced through TikTok painter Drew Janice, after one of his followers reportedly passed it along, as the original source is staying anonymous.
This Leak Barely Stings Games Workshop

As leaks go, GW couldn’t have asked for much better timing. Move the same mistake back a couple of weeks, and we’d be staring at models nobody had seen yet. Instead, we’re mostly getting an early look at how the kit goes together.
The mix-up isn’t unprecedented either. Commander Dante and Fuegan both allegedly turned up in the wrong boxed products over the years, and we’ve seen leaks force GW’s hand before. The company eventually admitted the leak desk is real after denying it for ages.
It’s embarrassing, sure, but this doesn’t derail a launch the way the Warbikers and pre-painted terrain leak did.
There’s Not Much on the Sprue GW Didn’t Already Show Us
Bit by bit, the new sprue lines up with the kit GW already revealed, including the Nob carrying that ridiculous flamer. There’s a huge fuel drum feeding an equally huge Ork flamethrower, although its actual name and rules are still unknown. You can also see swappable front armor and chest plates, a combi-weapon bit, chunky shoota, shoulder pads, extra heads, alternate jaws, and an iron gob.
There’s a lot packed onto the frame, and it looks like the same multi-build approach GW used with the new Ork Boyz kit. It also matches the model teasers that showed up before the reveal, while the 2026 date stamped on the sprue fits the release window GW already announced.
The Dual-Build Kit Keeps the Kill Team Theory Alive
Almost everything on this sprue looks built to give the kit more than one build path. GW already said the Nobz aren’t arriving alongside the codex, so a later release loaded with specialist-looking gear keeps the Kill Team theory alive.
GW brought Space Marine Scouts back through Kill Team instead of dropping them straight into the main range, so an off-schedule Ork kit arriving the same way wouldn’t be much of a stretch. Put that next to the release schedule, and the gap is hard to ignore.
A Whole Week of Leaks Is the Part Worth Watching
The Nobz sprue isn’t really the interesting part anymore. It showed up in the middle of several Warhammer leaks across just a few days. One random sprue getting loose is easy to write off. Several things appearing this close together get harder to shrug at.
We’re not saying GW is deliberately planting leaks, because there’s nothing here that proves that. Still, with the rumor mill running this hot while 11th Edition ramps up, it’s worth watching whether this keeps happening.
Final Thoughts on the Warhammer Nobz Leak
We’re sticking with this being pretty harmless for GW. GW had already shown the Nobz, so this leak mostly gives us a better look at the construction and all the extra bits on the sprue. Best of all, if you were already interested in the kit, there’s clearly plenty here for different builds and kitbashing.
The timing of all these leaks is more interesting than this particular sprue. If more stuff keeps slipping out this neatly, eventually the question won’t be what leaked. It’ll be why so much of it keeps happening at once…
