GW’s Sunday Preview revealed the new Armageddon Terrain and Khazalite Holds Army Set are hitting pre-order this Saturday.
Here’s the catch this week: two of the big boxes are limited, and they’re both going up on the same exact Saturday. GW revealed the Khazalite Holds Army Set and the Battlefields: Armageddon terrain box side by side. Since the Army Set’s only around while stocks last, and the terrain’s shipping in limited quantity, so if you play both AoS and 40k, that’s a rough Saturday.
Honestly, the dwarfs have been the talk of the hobby ever since the Khazalite Holds reveal in September, and the Big Autumn Preview just threw more fuel on that fire. Regardless, if you’ve been saving up for one of these, now’s the time to decide which box to buy first.
Here’s everything hitting pre-order this Saturday, plus what we think of it.
Warhammer 40k Pre-Order: New Releases
The latest Warhammer 40k pre-orders are here, and these factions have new kits ready to go.
They go up for pre-order on Saturday, October 17, around 1 p.m. EST in the States, with a street date of Saturday, October 31, for store shelves.
Still waiting on something else to hit pre-order? Check the latest lineup in our updated Warhammer Roadmap for 2026.
Battlefields: Armageddon Ready-Painted Terrain
A lot of tournament players have been waiting on this one since the pre-painted terrain debate kicked off back in July. GW says there’s enough in the box to run every layout in the Chapter Approved 2026-27 Mission Deck, so one purchase covers a full mission table instead of a stack of separate kits.
What’s actually in there? 16 Manufactorum Ruins (eight large, eight small), backed up by Shock Arrays, Capacitor Stacks, Rockcrete Barricades, Generator Shrines, and Galvanic Pylons. Every piece is push-fit and pre-painted, so it goes straight from box to table with minimal effort.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: New Pre-Order Releases
The latest Warhammer Age of Sigmar pre-orders have landed.
Khazalite Holds Army Set Pre-Order
The new dwarfs are finally here, and GW didn’t make this an easy box to pass on. Hjulda Drakkblud leads 10 Clanshields, three Gholems of Gazul, and an Oathkeeper Cannon. That’s the complete Drakkblud’s Clanguard Spearhead right out of the box.
On top of that, you get the Khazalite Holds Battletome with a cover that’s exclusive to this set, plus 53 warscroll cards. So it’s not just a pile of minis. It’s the rules, the cards, and a playable force in one box.
It’s only around while stocks last, and with the Fyreslayers folding into the same book (as we covered in the reveal), two player bases will be chasing one box on day one. So, don’t sleep on Saturday.
Khazalite Holds Army Set Hobby Tips
Build the Oathkeeper Cannon and its crew as separate subassemblies so you can get to every rivet and beard braid. Prime the Clanshields in batches of five and stick to one metal tone for all the armor, so the unit reads as a single clan. Save Hjulda for last, once the army’s colors are locked in on the rank and file.
Oath Fulfilled
This year’s Warhammer Day 2026 commemorative mini is a Warqueen, and GW’s pitching her as both a playable Slaves to Darkness model and a diorama piece. Nice touch, since plenty of these commemoratives end up display-only.
Same deal here as the Army Set, though: she’s only around while stocks last. Run Slaves to Darkness? She’s an easy add, plus if you grab the Warhammer Day mini every year, you already know how fast they dry up.
Black Library: New Pre-Order Releases
The latest Black Library pre-order titles are here, and they’re hotter than a Salamander Marine’s forge! If you’re into far-future battles, mysterious quests, or tales of heroism, there’s probably something here for you.
Shadow of the Silver Wolf
The Blacktalons get a full novel from Gary Kloster, and it sounds like a darker one. Neave Blacktalon and her crew head into Greybank, a fog-wrapped city where the enemy’s a curse and an old memory, not a warband.
Final Thoughts on the Khazalite Holds Pre-Orders
The Khazalite Holds finally give duardin players a proper grudge-bearing army in AoS, and the Army Set lets you field them the week they show up instead of building the faction up kit by kit. That’s also great if you’ve been running Fyreslayers and waiting for the rest of the dwarfs to finally have a real offering.
Our guess? The standalone Khazalite kits follow once this Army Set sells through in about a month, since that’s how GW usually staggers a new faction. So keep a loose eye on the Age of Sigmar roadmap for when the rest of the range drops, including all the new kits we saw in the GW preview last month.
