All GW’s New Releases Available Through November 9th

All the new GW releases from October are still available across platforms- here are the links to where you can still find them.

Most of these Games Workshop releases are orderable, but they might be low on stock or higher in price already on the secondary market. So be sure to check out all of the offerings and pick up anything you might want while they are still available…

Some of these may also still be available on GW’s store, but they are often cheaper when the allocations were favorable from stores elsewhere. Of course, if you can get them at your LGS at a discount, that may be a great place to spend your hobby dollars as well!

GW New Releases: October 16th

New Kasrkins, Kill Team, White Dwarf & More: Pricing Links

Keep in mind that if you want early access to the new Imperial Guard Kasrkins models, you’ll have to grab the Kill Team set, as it will most likely be a few months until they are released on their own.

Another important thing to note is that GW’s hobby tools are extremely expensive. So if you want a good pair, maybe think about going to your local hobby store and getting them there to save some cash.

We’ll be testing them versus the premium tools they put out back in 2014, which we still use to this very day. If the quality is indeed worth the price, we will surely let you know!

Kill Team: Shadowvaults Retail Price: $185

Head deeper into the Gallowdark with the next expansion for Kill Team. Shadowvaults builds on Kill Team: Into the Dark with new terrain and rules for infiltration, sentries, and daring raids in your Kill Team games in the close quarters of the space hulk.

This was just revealed at the Open Day 2022, meaning some people are bound to be excited about its speedy release!

Kill Team:Shadowvaults introduces two new kill teams into the game – the Kasrkin of the Astra Militarum and the Necron Hierotek Circle. The Kasrkin are a brand new set of miniatures while the Necron kill team includes an upgrade sprue for the Immortals and Deathmarks, which also makes the new Plasmacyte Reanimator, Plasmacyte Accelerator, and Apprentek models.

Necrons keep it pretty simple, but with new rules in Kill Team, it’s still going to be a blast to face off against Guard.

The Kasrkins have some sweet new models, and during the preview, they even commented about the new kit’s versatility!

In this box you’ll find:

1x 120-page Kill Team: Shadowvaults rules manual: Plunge deeper into the Gallowdark, with background material exploring this vast space hulk and the operatives seeking to escape its clutches. Kill Team Dice Sets $38 Each

Provide your special operatives with the best possible support while they’re out in the field with these faction dice sets. Both include 20 dice cast in orange with grey swirls, featuring white ink and the logo of your chosen kill team on the ‘6’.

Please note that these dice sets have been slightly delayed in the USA, Canada, and Japan.

Womp-womp, delays stink, but sometimes they are necessary, and in this case, many of us will just have to wait. However, it looks like they will indeed be available in the US, according to the stores we polled.

Super Fine Detail Cutters Retail Price: $50

This new set of Super Fine Detail Cutters includes a number of improved features:

– Ultra thin blades (about three times smaller than the previous model) allow you to get into tight spaces with ease, increasing visibility and control
– Blades meet perfectly flush on the back, reducing the amount of additional cleanup needed and reducing the risk of pieces pinging away when used properly
– Bump-stopping design makes it impossible to mash the blades together with too much pressure, which means they’ll stay sharp for longer
– Rubberised contoured handles, including flares near the blades for added control, precision, and safety.
– Extended handles to reduce the pressure required to make a cut, reducing hand fatigue

As one of the most basic hobby tools, getting a good pair of clippers is paramount to the ease of putting models together. However, you can probably just grab a pair from any hobby store with a fine point for much less than this.

Moldline Remover Retail Price: $25

This version of the Mouldline Remover includes a number of improved features:

– Longer and thinner nose, roughly half the size of the previous version, reaches every nook and cranny while increasing visibility and precision
– Ergonomic handle is tapered in the front, allowing you to change to a pencil-like control grip for fine work, with a chunky base to allow greater comfort and reduce hand fatigue during normal use
– Notched back designed to clean up the tapered edges of your bases, making it quick and easy to get a paint-ready finish

Mold lines can be super annoying, so this tool might just be perfect if you feel the same.

Knife Retail Price: $34

Every Warhammer hobbyist needs a hobby knife, so the Citadel Tools design team created one just for them. It features a fully sculpted hard plastic handle, and incorporates a number of clever features for safety and convenience:

– Fixed single slot blade barrel, ensuring perfect alignment
– Ribbed shroud behind the blade, allowing safer downward pressure and maximum precision
– Ergonomic handle to reduce hand fatigue, and prevent rolling on your desk
– Back-weighted design, so it’s less likely to fall with the blade down
– Blade changing thread recessed into the handle so the blade doesn’t loosen during use
– Blade cap

This one might be worth considering as the other basic hobby tool for the new, improved handle. Not to mention how annoying it is when the knife gets loose due to the tightener being where you have your fingers on other hobby knives. It also looks like it uses standard blade refills as well, which is another bonus.

Drill Retail Price: $35

A reliable drill suitable for use on miniatures can be used in all manner of ways, and the Citadel Tools design team were eager to take on the challenge of redesigning the hobby drill to make it easier and safer to use by incorporating a number of design features:

– Designed primarily in a light-weight hard plastic to reduce hand fatigue
– Ergonomic shape incorporating ridges and grooves increases control and allows you to safely exert pressure
– Bit-securing barrel is recessed into the handle, so it won’t unscrew during use
– Freely rotating end cap allowing you to push down gently and rotate at the same time
– Includes four bits in two sizes, perfect for a wide variety of Citadel model kits, stored in their own container when not in use

Drills are a little bit more of an advanced hobby tool, but this looks like a great option!

White Dwarf Issue 481 Retail Price: $11

This month’s issue of White Dwarf sees the Waaagh! continue its march south with new campaign rules for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. You can unleash a Destroyer-heavy Necrons army of renown with new Warhammer 40,000 rules, see who triumphs in the second part of the massive Warhammer: The Horus Heresy battle report, and read a new Warhammer Horror short story.

GW New Releases: October 23rd

It looks like there were supposed to be some Ogor releases this week, but they were taken off at the last minute, so if you’re not too worried about Underworlds, we might get to some big guy releases next week!

Warhammer Underworlds: Gnarlwood Retail Price: $95

A new season of Warhammer Underworlds kicks off with the Gnarlwood boxed set. Set in the ravenous root-halls beneath the hungry forest of Ghur, the new box brings a host of new and updated rules – and two new warbands, the savage Gnarlspirit Pack and the skeletal Sons of Velmorn.

Well, if you want any more Leagues of Votann to add to your collection, they are just doing it in one big release, which is great to see! Even the Combat Patrol is coming out in this wave, so hopefully, this means they are opening the way soon for Imperial Guard!

Ûthar the Destined Retail Price: $38

This kit builds Ûthar the Destined, a legendary Kâhl chosen by prophecy to lead the Greater Thurian League. Clad in a finely-crafted battle-suit and protected by the defensive field of his rampart crest, Ûthar is posed raising the immaculately-crafted Blade of the Ancestors skyward, to signal the advance and inspire his troops to even greater acts of martial prowess. He wields a searing volkanite disintegrator in his other hand, to take on foes at any distance.

This kit can alternatively build a Kâhl for any of the Leagues, armed with a variety of weapons and wargear.

Grimnyr Retail Price: $45

This multipart plastic kit one Grimnyr, a powerful and cunning psyker accompanied by two CORVs. Draped in ornate ceremonial robes and protected by their bird-headed ward crest, this shamanic figure wields an ancestral ward stave capped with a Votannic visage. The kit includes a choice of two heads – one with a beard and mysterious hood, and the other with flowing braids. Einhyr Champion Retail Price: $38

This kit builds an Einhyr Champion, a heavily-armoured leader for the Leagues of Votann. Clad in bulky exo-armour with a rune-etched RAM shield mounted on one arm, this indomitable vanguard strides forward with impunity, leading the charge with crushing mass while firing explosive shells from their Autoch-pattern combi-bolter. The kit includes a choice of two melee weapons for destroying enemies in close combat – a crushing mass hammer or finely-wrought darkstar axe – as well as two different crest designs to represent either a teleport crest or defensive weavefield crest. You’ll also find two head options and a choice of two shield plate designs, to further customise your Champion.

This multipart plastic kit builds three Brôkhyr Thunderkyn, combat engineers wielding powerful ranged weapons. These Kin are encased in hefty exo-frames that help support their heavy armaments, and wear advanced omni-visors for scanning the battlefield. Each model can be armed with a rugged and reliable bolt cannon, a graviton blast cannon that turns the enemy’s weight against them, or a powerful SP conversion beamer. This multipart plastic kit builds 10 Hearthkyn Warriors, sturdy Kin soldiers clad in enclosed void armour. Each Hearthkyn Warrior is equipped with a Autoch-pattern bolt pistol and gravitic concussion grenades, and can be armed with your choice of an Autoch-pattern bolter or an ion blaster. The kit includes a huge armoury of weapons and wargear – you’ll find a medipack, multiwave comms array, and pan spectral scanner, as well as a magna-rail rifle, HYLas auto rifle, L7 missile launcher, and EtaCarn plasma beamer to arm up to two specialists. This multipart plastic kit builds three Hernkyn Pioneers, roaming Kin mounted on manoeuvrable hovering trikes. Each bike incorporates a hull-mounted magna-coil autocannon, while the riders are armed with bolt revolvers and bolt shotguns – either wielded in one hand or strapped to the bike – as well as gravitic concussion grenades. The kit includes a variety of special wargear – one bike can be joined by a rear gunner firing either a HYLas rotary cannon or ion beamer, while other bikes can be equipped with a rollbar searchlight, multiwave comms array, or pan spectral scanner. There’s also a huge mix of extra stowage and cosmetic equipment to customise each of your bikers, as well as 10 different heads sporting a variety of goggles, hoods, and flight caps – including an Ironkin head.

Hoverbikes are sick, and these are no exception!

Cthonian Beserks Retail Price: $60

This multipart plastic kit builds five Cthonian Beserks, augmented warriors wielding massive two-handed melee weapons. Each Beserk can be equipped with a heavy plasma axe or concussion maul, and comes with a choice of three different heads, ensuring that each Beserk looks unique, even across multiple squads. The kit also includes a pair of concussion gauntlets, and can be used to build a Beserk armed with a mole grenade launcher, accompanied by an L-COG loader – two mole grenade models are also provided, to help with tracking the effects of these burrowing explosives.

This miniature is festooned with bestial trophies attesting to his skills as a veteran tracker, from pelts and half-chewed body parts to the reptilian head he uses as a quiver. He goes barefoot to help him sneak around the battlefield, with a pair of antlers strapped to his head as camouflage, until he can use his barbed spears and crossbow bolts to bring down his prey.
