See every new Ogor Mawtribes model from the 4th edition refresh; all 13 new kits, the Army Set, and the new battletome, with our breakdown of each reveal.
An Ogor Mawtribes refresh this chunky hasn’t wandered out of the meat locker in years (well, many, many years to be exact), and GW just slapped the whole warglutt on the table at once. The Big Summer Preview from Warhammer Community showed off seven new kits, an Army Set, a fresh Slaughtermaster named Redd the Maw, and a new battletome, all in the same reveal.
If you ask us, that’s not a polite resculpt drip-feed, that’s GW dragging the whole buffet cart into the room.
For an army that’s been limping along with a battletome patched into the current Age of Sigmar 4th Edition while half the model range is over 20 years old, this wave is perfect for the existing Scrapglutt Spearhead, along with new and veteran Ogor players.
Either way, the rumors we’ve tracked since fall 2025 have finally had their very large, very hungry “told ya so moment”, and the AoS roadmap finally has something to anchor it.

- Ogor Mawtribes Army Set Release Date: August 1st, 2026 (separate releases TBD)

The new Ogor Mawtribes Army Set is where this whole “meat parade” kicks off, and GW clearly built it as the first-week launch ramp for anyone eyeing the refreshed army. The new box includes the new Tyrant, Gluttons, Ironguts, and Maulbeast Cavalry, plus warscroll cards and a special edition of the battletome.

Morga the Mighty Takes Charge of the Ogor Mawtribes

Grell Firefist Brings Some Serious Firepower to the Ogors
Grell Firefist gives Ogor Mawtribes something opponents probably weren’t asking for: a huge cannon supporting an army that already hits like a runaway cart. Her Blastbelch can punish a key target at range, while its distracting fire may let nearby Ogors fall back and charge again.
Honestly, that makes Grell more than a basic shooting model. She could help the army recycle its strongest combat trick while softening up whatever the Ogors plan to flatten next. Her full warscroll and points are still yet to be seen, but the early rules preview already gives Mawtribes players another threat opponents can’t ignore.
You can see the previewed rules and model details in our full look at Grell Firefist and her massive Blastbelch cannon.
Ogor Hunters Bring Ambush Trouble to Mawtribes
The new Ogor Hunters with Sabrefangs give Mawtribes a sneaky ranged unit that can redeploy in the deployment phase, landing near terrain and more than 9″ away from enemies. They can’t move in the first turn, so this isn’t a free charge button, but it does let Ogor players set up shooting pressure, threaten weak screens, and make opponents care a lot more about terrain placement.
For an army known for solving problems by eating them, that’s a fun new trick, and you can check out the full Ogor Hunters rules breakdown here: Ogor Hunters Get a Turn-1 Ambush GW Never Trusted Ogors With.
Tyrant Resculpt Finally Catches Up to the Edition
The old Tyrant has been the named-and-shamed example of a headline character stuck carrying a sculpt for a decade plus. This new kit finally drags him into the same level of scale and detail as the rest of 4th Edition‘s leaders, with build options to match: alternate heads, cleavers, hammers, and back banners are all on the sprue.

Gluttons Bring the Wall of Meat With Real Build Options
Gluttons are still the warglutt’s dependable wall of beefcakes for any Ogor Mawtribes list, and the new kit drops essentially five new poses in one box. Plus, there are bits for clubs, ironfists, and oversized swords, so the unit shouldn’t look like five copies of the same hungry lad with the arms swapped.
New Glutton rules are also here for these big guys as GW is ramping up how they look and play now.
Ironguts Show the Scars This Time
Ironguts have been overdue for a kit that actually captures the whole elite-bruiser feel. These new sculpts bring scarred armor, hefty cleavers, and enough extra menace that look very much bigger and meaner than the Gluttons beside them, which is exactly what the unit needed.

Maulbeast Cavalry Adds the Mounted Threat the Army Lacked
Maulbeast Cavalry might be the model kit with the widest range of table uses in the reveal. They can be built two ways: Maulbeast Cavalry smash things up close, while Maulbeast Raiders soften targets with crossbows before piling in for the ugly part.
Redd the Maw Is the Slaughtermaster Centerpiece Players Have Been Asking For
Redd the Maw is a kit that really brings back the old-school feel in a new sculpt. He’s a Slaughtermaster wizard with Mawseeker acolytes at his shoulder and a Gorger dragging his cauldron; he casts from the Lore of Gut Magic, and he reads as a melee anchor and caster rolled into one chunky centerpiece.

Butcher Refreshes the Classic Cauldron Caster
The Butcher kit brings the army’s classic gastromantic shaman silhouette back to the table with modern detail, and yes, the cauldron looks gross enough that peeking inside might actually be worth the mistake. As a single-character support wizard, the Butcher fills the slot beneath Redd without pushing every list into centerpiece-model territory.
Overall, that’s pretty useful for Ogor Mawtribes players who want casting support without building the whole list around one massive model, and it keeps the whole “caster economy” closer to how the current 4e battletome has been pricing wizards.
Cleavers Kit Builds as Gutseers Either Way
The Cleavers kit rounds out the unit, reveals, and builds two ways from the same box. As Cleavers, they’re elite infantry aimed at carving up enemy wizards and priests, which works perfectly for an army whose shamans always need fresh ingredients.
Built them as Gutseers, the same models become anti-magic support chanters who buff friendly casters with gut magic. This gives players two very different battlefield jobs from a single sprue, and we’re here for the value.
Ogor Mawtribes Battletome Ships in Two Formats
The new Ogor Mawtribes battletome lands in two ways: a special edition inside the Army Set and a separate gamer’s edition with warscroll cards for everyone who isn’t buying the launch box. The book includes lore, art, and rules for the new units, including a brand-new Ogor Mawtribes sub-faction called Mawseekers led by Redd the Maw.
Final Thoughts on the new Ogor Mawtribes Reveal
The actual store here is what to watch for, which is what GW didn’t fully show. The preview closed with a hint that another Ogor unit is hiding still, so this release cycle probably isn’t done chewing through surprises yet.
Of course, the Pre-order date, street date, and Army Set pricing haven’t been revealed yet, which makes the upcoming Sunday Previews the next obvious place to look for hard details. And if the Mawseekers prove popular, the bigger question is whether other Ogor sub-factions get similar attention in the back half of 4th Edition before the AoS 2026 roadmap rolls onward into the next quarter.
