Magnet Baron Custodes Kits Swap Every Telemon Arm for $5.99

Custodes magnetization kits magnet baron

Magnet Baron Custodes magnetization kits now cover the Pallas, Telemon, Gyrfalcon, and Venatari, so you can run one build per model with every loadout.

Magnet Baron’s $5.99 Telemon kit lets you swap the arms instead of gluing them in place. If you just picked up the Custodes Support Battle Group, that’s just six bucks to keep all your weapon options open.

You can read through the Custodes codex, try different guns, and change your mind between games without pulling your model apart. And if you’re looking over the sprues before building, it’s worth sorting out the magnets before you start gluing.

Magnet Baron Custodes Magnet Baron Kits

All four kits use N52 magnets, but the Telemon is the only kit that doesn’t require any drilling. If this is your first time magnetizing, it’s worth grabbing a set of Magnicators to help you keep the polarity straight, because you really don’t want to glue a magnet into the Pallas floor facing the wrong way.

Telemon Dreadnought Magnetization Kit: $5.99

Magnetized Telemon Dreadnought built with the Magnet Baron magnetization kit

The kit gives you everything you need in one buy. You get magnets for both shoulders and every arm in the Telemon Dreadnought box, so the two Caestus fists and three cannon arms can go on either side.

All 16 magnets fit into holes GW already molded into the plastic, too. You just need glue and a polarity check, so this is one you can knock out over the weekend without picking up a drill or pin vise. For a model that keeps coming up when we talk about the best Custodes units, that’s six bucks well spent.

Pallas Grav-attack Custom Magnetization Kit: $5.99

Pallas Grav-attack assembled with the Magnet Baron custom magnetization kit

The Pallas Grav-attack gives you a choice between the Twin Iliastus Accelerator Fusil and the Twin Arachnus Blaze Cannons. Want to try both? This kit puts magnets in the hull mounts and both weapons, so you can swap the guns on one tank without building another just to see how the other option plays.

You also get a magnetic flight stand, with a magnet at the end of the acrylic stem, another in the tank floor, and a printed rock to anchor it. Pop the tank off for the drive to the store, then put it back on when you reach the table. It’s the same idea as the Magnet Baron flight stands we’ve covered before. You’ll just need a steady hand and 3mm, 4mm, and 8mm bits to fit everything, so get the pin vise out before you start.

Gyrfalcon Jetbike Sodality Magnetization Kit x2: $12.99

Magnetized Gyrfalcon Jetbike with the rider raising the Power Lance

Each box covers two Gyrfalcon Jetbikes. Got the Support Battle Group box? There are four bikes (but are sold as squads of two, separately) in there, so you’ll need two kits for the whole squadron. Each bike can then swap between the Twin Corvae Las-Pulser, Arachnus Volley Cannon, Adrathic Devastator, and Lastrum Bolt Cannon as your list changes. Saves you staring at four glued-on guns next month and wondering whether you picked the right ones.

The rider’s right arm comes off as well, so you can have him holding the Power Lance or gripping both handlebars, then adjust the angle on the table. Plus, the bag also has magnetic flight stand parts for both bikes.

Venatari Custom Magnetization Kit: $19.99

Venatari Custom Magnetization Kit from Magnet Baron

The Venatari kit is currently on sale, down from $24.99 to $19.99. It’s also the biggest bag of the four, with 54 magnets and 19 printed parts.

Cylinder magnets go through the torso, while tiny discs take care of the weapon-option arms. For the flight stands, you get printed hex caps, six acrylic stems, and rock anchors. You’ll need to drill each loose torso from armpit to armpit with a 3mm bit before assembly, so get that done before you reach for the glue.

Final Thoughts on the Magnet Baron Custodes Magnetization Kits

Magnet Baron released three of these in five days, right on time to magnetize all the new miniatures. And that Venatari markdown probably won’t stick around forever, so if jump packs are on your list, now looks like the best time to work on those models!
