Here’s the most up-to-date list of new Games Workshop bits from preview models to keep an eye out for. Click on the gallery above to see dozens of Rumor Engines with new models still to be revealed!
The GW New Release Roadmap For April 2023 & Beyond
New Seraphon Skink Starseers are Masters of the Arcane!
While the sagacious Slann Starmasters spend their lives unpacking and executing the complex cosmic plans of the Old Ones, quotidian matters of Seraphon society fall to skink scholars and priests, who are in turn led by shrewd Skink Starseers. Don’t let the small size of these reptilian rectors fool you – Skink Starseers are second only to the Slann in their mastery of the arcane powers.
The model is actually really cool, as it’s nice to see a Skink get a palanquin of its own! Obviously, it’s not quite as ornate as the Slann’s, but who would expect it to be?
Even More New Seraphon Models Coming for Age of Sigmar!
Even more Seraphon minis were revealed during AdeptiCon 2023, along with the art for their new battletome and army box!
Tons of New AoS Seraphon Models Unveiled at LVO 2023!
First up, we have the awesome new Slann Starmaster mini!
This has a lot of similar design elements to what we’ve seen before, but cranked up to 11. Read More Here!
New Saurus Warriors
This is a pretty sweet rework, where they kept the original idea and feel of the models, but really made them better.
Obviously, with all these minis, they will get a new battletome in 2023. Read More Here!
Raptadon Chargers & Hunters
Another new unit and another shrouded mini pic from the New Year’s preview were revealed! Read More Here!
New AoS Seraphon Saurus Astrolith Bearers Revealed By GW!
The Saurus Astrolith Bearer is a warrior marked by destiny, tasked with hoisting a powerful serpentine standard. More than merely an inspiring icon, this arcane device is inscribed with geometric symbols and powered by the orb of purest celestite that floats at its centre.
The standard is pretty awesome looking and will really make a striking feature on the battlefield! Plus, the rules for it are pretty awesome.
New AoS Seraphon Spawn of Chotec Revealed By GW!
Found in the most volcanic regions of the Mortal Realms – and hence all over Aqshy, where they’re often hunted by Fyreslayers – the Spawn of Chotec are fire-spitting salamanders which the Seraphon revere as the offspring of the sun god himself. The Sun Acolytes who handle these sour-tempered salamanders are marked for their duty from birth. When the stars flare and the spawning pools boil, the skinks who emerge are blessed with incredible resistance to heat, as well as frills that resemble Chotec’s own sunburst.
The models are all pretty cool, and with so many new options for Seraphon, you should be able to sink your hobby teeth into this!
New AoS Roadmap For the First Half of 2023
There are a ton of new battletomes on the way for AoS, and they promised basically two a month through the summer!
AoS Cities of Sigmar Dawnbringer Previews!
Unfortunately, they do say in the article that this is still a long way off. Even going as far as to say we will not see them this year. But let’s hope they don’t push too far into 2023.

Warcry & Underworlds Roadmap For 2023
New 10th Edition 40k Trailer Teases New Starter Set & Models
Tons of new Space Marines and Tyranids miniatures are coming starting with these 10th Edition Warhammer 40k Terminators and Termagants! Read More
New Space Marine Terminators
It is this pattern that forms the basis for the new Terminators, now substantially filled out to match the scale, and the increased detail, of modern Space Marines.
Together as a group of five, they look pretty awesome, and now teleporting them in will be even more cinematic!
Lion El’Jonson Primarch Miniature Revealed For Warhammer 40k!
After years of rumors and clamoring, a new Lion El’Jonson primarch miniature is coming to Warhammer 40k after being revealed at the AdeptiCon 2023! Read More
New Blood Angels Primaris Dante Model Confirmed By GW!
The Day of Revelation has come a little earlier than expected, so eager is Dante to smite the enemies of the Imperium – but luckily for the Lord of Angels, the master artificers of the Blood Angels are at the top of their game. He now sports an up-to-the-minute suit of modified Mark X armour, wrought in his inimitable gold.
The new model is pretty dope and really keeps the feel of the Firstborn version, just much bigger (oh, and tactical rock too, obviously).
Imperial Guard Black Library Miniature Minka Lesk
A former Cadian Whiteshield* – full name Arminka Lesk – our plucky heroine was assigned to her regiment at a young age. When the 13th Black Crusade arrived, ‘Minka’ was ordered to defend her hometown of Myrak from a Chaos assault that swiftly became a heretical deluge.
They did a decent job on the model, as it really looks like the artwork for the books, which is always nice for a Black Library mini!
New Veteran Space Marine Lieutenant Revealed By GW!
As you can see, the new design takes several cues from the existing Reiver Lieutenant and Phobos Lieutenant. As a veteran operative fighting a desperate guerilla war on frontier worlds, he’s had to make do and mend with his gear – yes, that is Tyranid chitin used as a makeshift replacement shoulder pad.
This model is really cool with a ton of Nid trophies and bits, so a perfect model to kick off the new war! Not only that, he will have a tiny tactical rock and a Tyranid body part to stand on!
Snikrot Individual Release
Snikrot, often known as Da Green Ghost, is a sly spectre who specialises in slitting throats and taking scalps with his massive combat knives, known as Mork’s Teeth.
This new model of Snikrot definitely has a more aggressive pose than the old model, more in line with what you’d expect from an Ork! Keen-eyed hobbyists have probably noticed that rumor engine bit on his base as well.
Commander Farsight Individual Release
Don’t let the imperium hear the word “AI”; they probably would not approve one bit. From the looks of the model, it is much bigger than a standard Crisis suit and appears from the scale to be on a 60mm base instead of a 50mm.
These upgrades come just in time for his greatest challenge yet in Arks of Omen: Farsight. The infamous Bad Moons warlord Nazdreg, master of tellyporta taktiks, has taken up the reins of the War of Dakka – a never-ending conflict fuelled by the Orks’ desire to beat the Farsight Enclaves at their own shooting game.
Space Marines Primaris Desolation Squad: (Single Box Release)
While these new Desolation Space Marines aren’t a super surprise, it’s still nice to see the actual miniatures revealed! We’ve seen rules rumors, a rumor engine, and a shrouded pic of these for a long time now… Read More Here!
Space Marines Primaris Brutalis Dreadnought: (Single Box Release)
They said this would be a successor to the Furioso Dreadnought, but every chapter can take them. Read More Here!
New Space Marine Primaris Lieutenant: (Single Box Release)
We were nervous at first, but GW came through and revealed another Space Marines Lieutenant kit! They said this has a ton of options and will have many weapon load-outs. Read More Here!
Vashtorr The Arkifane: (Separate Release)
As a new “brain” to Chaos operations, this faction might just become more and more deadly for the Imperium. Hopefully, these new Arks of Omen books will give us more details and perhaps how the Imperium will fight back against this new Chaos surge.
Leave it to Be’lakor to not like new Chaos toys… He always was a stickler. BUUUT, this new guy looks amazing, and not even the First Daemon Prince can deny that! Read more here!
New Primaris Chapter Master Azrael Warhammer 40k Miniature: (Separate Release)
Warhammer Community gifted the latest details on Christmas Morning 2022 about the new 40k Primaris Chapter Master Azrael.
Abaddon and Vashtorr’s plan to destroy the Imperium has caught the Dark Angels in its jaws. Still recovering from crossing the Rubicon Primaris, Azrael has taken up the legendary Sword of Secrets and his master-crafted combi-plasma, The Lion’s Wrath.
It looks like the new model will be part of the upcoming Arks of Omen releases that hobbyists hope will lead us into the 10th Edition 40k in the summer of 2023.
Scale-wise, he got his swole on when he jumped to Primaris, but the styling remains the same from the Original model from the 1990s. Read More Here!
World Eaters Combat Patrol
While Chaos Space Marines are limited to a single Chaos Lord per Detachment, the World Eaters aren’t subject to such petty jealousy. They can field as many beast-bound Lords as their HQ slots allow, meaning you can muster the complete contents of two Combat Patrols – all without needing to spend any Command points on the new Heroic Support Stratagem.
This looks like a decent Combat Patrol, with plenty of troops and just a lot of minis. So, it should be a good pickup for new players getting into the faction!
Plus, they say this will be available in just a few weeks, so let’s hope that means three maximum and not more! Read more here!
Final Two Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrols Announced By GW
New Tzeentch Miniature Revealed!
On their Twitter, GW revealed this new 5-limbed Tzeentch mini. They didn’t really say anything about it other than it’s new. So, who knows? Maybe this is a precursor to a new Kill Team box, or perhaps something else altogether.
Either way, it’s always nice to see new minis.
Forge World Redesigns Key Tanks for 40k & Horus Heresy
GW Reveals Plastic Horus Heresy Legion Vindicator
The last word in mobile wall-removal packs a massive centerline-mounted demolisher cannon – a huge shell-lobbing bombard that trades the long range of artillery for awesome destructive power. It’s quite content to turn anything it hits into confetti, but excels at cracking Fortifications and other buildings. During the Age of Darkness, it was common to fit Vindicators with magna laser destroyers to take on super-heavy vehicles and Titans. These batteries of up-gunned lascannons toss out more shots than the Sicaran Venator’s lone neutron beam laser, and trade the extreme range and destructive power of the neutron laser battery found on the Cerberus for the privilege of not occasionally blowing up in your face.
It’s always nice to get more plastic tanks as they are generally a little bit cheaper and are easier to build; plus, they hopefully make this easy to magnetize.
New Horus Heresy Campaign and Lore Book Revealed!
At the heart of this game is a powerful narrative, and the Horus Heresy team is expanding on the events of the setting with the first campaign book of the first edition, Campaigns of the Age of Darkness: The Siege of Cthonia. This hefty tome contains over 100 pages of narrative content digging into the fate of Horus’ home planet.
The planet of Cthonia is consumed by a rolling war and under siege by the Imperial Fists. Vheren Ashurhaddon, Master of the True Sons of Cthonia, vows to retake his home before Horus claims Terra, with the aid of the Word Bearers and the Alpha Legion.
As fans of Horus Heresy may know, the old black books used to be liked quite a bit, so this book is a return to that style, and hopefully, players will like this just the same!
New Horus Heresy Despoiler Squad Upgrades Revealed By GW!
Now you can get that close combat feel with the forthcoming Despoiler Squad upgrade set from Forge World. This resin pack comes with five arms with chainswords and five with bolt pistols for your MKVI plastic Space Marines. Aspiring commanders can use it to build brutal Despoiler squads to scythe through enemy lines.
It’s always nice to get more chainswords in the mix! However, it only has enough for 7 (if you include the axe and two-handed sword) in each, so if you want some bigger squads, you might need to pick up a decent number of these.
There’s also a two-handed heavy chainsword for those tougher nuts, and a crackling power axe, which you may also field as a Charnabal. You can even use these arms to add saw-toothed spice to other Tactical Squads and kitting out your Sergeants, Command Squads and Veteran Squads.
These upgrades all look good, and you could grab one or two of these to upgrade your sergeants. However, they also mention something coming soon.
New Horus Heresy Sicaran Venator Revealed By GW!
The new tank comes from this Warhammer Community post.
For every battlefield problem in the Horus Heresy, the Legiones Astartes have at least one tank-shaped solution. The Typhon Heavy Siege Tank can level heavily fortified buildings, Scorpius Missile Tanks pin troops down with high-explosive salvos, and now the new plastic Sciaran Venator kit tears other tanks apart with its impressive primary armament.
We knew more variants were coming, and it’s nice to finally see them continuing to roll out! It would also make sense for the tank to be about the same price as the current kit.
New Horus Heresy Cerberus Heavy Tank Destroyer Revealed!
This was another shaded mini from the New Year’s preview, and it’s pretty much what we expected!
This is obviously made for destroying tanks; just look, it has a triple-barreled neutron laser battery! Read more here!
New Horus Heresy Infernus Abomination Assassin
The model and heads come from this Warhammer Community post.
Loyalist forces deploy many agents of the Divisio Assassinorum. These deadly operatives come in all sorts of forms – some are deadly duellists, while others are experts in information warfare, or masters of toxins.
They’re all extremely lethal in their own way – but they pale in comparison to the inhuman horror used by the Traitor Legions – the Infernus Abomination.
The model is definitely interesting looking! It could probably be used in 40k as a bunch of Chaos minis, but hey, if you need a wild traitor assassin, this might just be the perfect one.
Just keep in mind they do say this will be resin and from Forge World. Read more here!
Necromunda seems out of gas at the moment. If we missed something please leave us a comment or email us!
New Blood Bowl Halfing Star Players are Bringing the Snacks!
The new star players come from Warhammer Community.
Cindy Piewhistle has a name that may tickle the ears of fans of that perennial Blood Bowl periodical – Spike! Journal. This slinger of baked goods is the sister of the famous columnist and interviewer Mindy Piewhistle.
She’s joined by a bona fide legend – Puggy Baconbreath, a player known for his amazing feats of athleticism* and dedication to the game. Often training for as long as one whole hour per day, Puggy has iron willpower and has never once snuck off for a mid-drive snack.
You know, when you’re tired on the pitch, there’s nothing you want more than a huge hoagie or a nice meat pie! Both of these are just super fun and who doesn’t want them on their team? Read more here!
New Kill Team Gallowfall Box & Models Revealed!
TheGallowdarkis doomed. After millennia drifting listlessly through the galaxy, this space hulk is finally on a collision course with an unlucky planet – and neither gods nor mortals can prevent its inevitable demise.
All of which means your kill teams should probably start making themselves scarce. That’s exactly the plan for the Leagues of Votann hulk-delvers in Kill Team: Gallowfall… They’re just, you know, grabbing a few souvenirs on the way out.
This new Kill Team Warhammer 40k box pits a party of Leagues of Votann against some fresh new 40k Beastmen of Chaos!
Individual Releases of Soulshackle
The Arbites will have a bunch of cool options, and we expect the box to come with a ton of bits.
They mentioned all the Arbites are pretty tough, have good armor, and can smash through anyone standing in their way.
Unfortunately, there won’t be totally new Kabalites, but they will grab an upgrade sprue to make them a bit more unique! There is already a ton of bits in the normal kit, but this adds even more.
Again, this is another shrouded mini released from the New Year’s preview, so hopefully, we will get the rest soon.
New Adeptus Titanicus Conversion Beam Weapons Revealed By GW!
Many strange and esoteric weapons were unleashed during the Horus Heresy, and among the strangest are conversion beamers – complex energy weapons that affix an unstable and deadly beam onto a target at long range. While these weapons were most commonly fitted to Contemptor Dreadnoughts and Predator tanks, particularly massive versions were used by the Titan Legions.
They look pretty cool, and it’s nice to see AT getting anything in the way of upgrades, as we’ve had a drought for a while now.
GW Reveals Bretonnian & Tomb Kings Weapons For Warhammer Old World
If you want to see how they revealed the return of the Tomb Kings, you can check that out here. For now, though, let’s check out the new info from Warhammer Community.
Fresh from the forges of fair Bretonnia come new helmets, weapons and shields. Bretonnian knights commonly adorn their helmets with creatures that appear on their family heraldry, or those they believe they share a personality trait with. A knight famed for being stubborn in the face of adversity might sport a horned bull, while a noble renowned for their love of hunting may embellish their helm with a pair of antlers. These large helmets feature just a small selection of the fantastical birds and beasts you’ll see when the Bretonnian army marches to war.
It is a little suspicious pretty much everything we’ve seen has been for Bretonnians and Tomb Kings recently, which makes us think they are the most likely for a starter box perhaps…

Games Workshop Announces New 2023 Event-Exclusive Miniatures!
From the 41st Millennium comes The Commissar’s Duty. This vignette depicts an absolutely iconic scene – an Astra Militarum Commissar with his sword planted in the battlefield rubble, standing tall as he delivers the Emperor’s Justice. Is he aiming at a foe, or at a Guardsman who needs to be made into an example?
He’s got a full tactical rock this time that he can stand on! Seriously though, this is a pretty cool model, and while it’s a little static, it should be striking on the battlefield.
Out of the Mortal Realms charges Tolgar Split-Eye, a frenzied Darkoath warrior sporting a natty eye-patch and swinging two huge axes. He also comes with an alternative head for building a nameless Darkoath Chieftain, which trades flowing locks for a fine beard.
This guy is a lot more dynamic and with those giant axes, should be a good addition to your forces.
Exclusive Miniatures For Warhammer Stores 2023
It’s nice to see Leagues of Votann getting an exclusive mini! They even say he will have the special Legends rules, which is somewhat rare. Obviously, you can just play him as a Kahl, but it will be nice to have a little datasheet when you buy him.
They don’t say he’ll have special rules, but that’s not the end of the world. As we said, you’ll have to go to the store during their anniversary to score these minis. We’re sure they will be on the secondary market at some point, but they will probably be more expensive.
SoB Order of the Bloody Rose Action Figures
The Sister line is getting pretty amazing, and it’s nice to have figures for more than one order!
