Winter Break: Advent Calendar Day 2
The 2nd day features whats looks like someone holding a book and a scroll. It might be a model for 40k or AoS seeing that there isn’t really any factors point at either. However, my money is on some sort of “flavor” model. Every year there are some collector-style models that arent meant to played in-game and instead are just neat models to have on display. However, if this is a real in-game model, it’s probably either Imperium in 40k, or Order in AoS, as the hand seems pretty natural and healthy for a human.
Is that an =I= on the cover? hmm…

There’s A Boot In My Shoot: Advent Calendar Day 8
There might be a boot in this shoot, but there are also boots all over Warhammer! Placing this rumor engine is nearly impossible. The only thing we can say for sure is that it probably isn’t for Orks! Their boots tend to be a bit more “used”. There appears to be a skull on the front, but it’s hard to make out for sure. It could both 40k and AoS and also could be almost any faction.
December 9th, 2020
Life In A Bottle: Advent Calendar Day 9
This is another super clear image, but it also might be impossible to place. This is clearly some sort of potion, probably hanging from someone’s belt or backpack. The real question becomes, is it a foul elixir carried by the death guard in 40k? Or perhaps a healing draught held by a High Elf in AoS? This could be nearly any faction in any universe. 40k, AoS, Specialist games, it’s all on the table with this one.
December 10th, 2020
Captain Hook’s Demise: Advent Calendar Day 10
Turns out Captain Hook’s Greatest fear may have come true, something took his hand! Or at least someone’s hand. But who’s holding that wood beam and why is a hand nailed to it anyway? In AoS there is only really one faction we see this being, Death. Chaos might like talking heads, but they rarely take and put other body parts on display. For 40k, perhaps Nightlords are making a comeback, but wood is rarely seen on models unless they are terrain features…
December 11th, 2020
Revin Up The Bikes: Advent Calendar Day 11
For the first time in a few days, we know for sure which universe the bit is from! AoS doesn’t have motorbikes or tires yet, so we can almost know for sure that this is for 40k. As for factions, the wheel is too small for a marine, so it’s more than likely for Genestealers, Imperial Guard, or maybe Orks. Maybe even one of the specialist games like Necromunda?
December 13th, 2020
Inquisitor Engine Reporting For Duty: Advent Calendar Day 13
This is very clearly something from the Inquisition, perhaps even an Inquisitor! The real question at the end of it all is who/what is holding the holster? Is it a new nameless Inquisitor or an old one getting a revamp? It’s impossible to say for sure!
December 14th, 2020
Venting Frustrations: Advent Calendar Day 14
This engine is not as clear as the last, but it could potentially be the same model! The shoulder/back vents and backpack could easily be Inquisition, Sisters of Battle, or even Adeptus Mechanicus. They do seem to have a coat/cloak under the shoulder armor, so the potential is there to be the same model as yesterday and even earlier rumor engines.
Whatever it is, it came right off the 3d printer and was painted, as evident by the striations along the vents.
December 18th, 2020
A Mace For The Righteous: Advent Calendar Day 18
This is an interesting bit. Initially, you see it and might think AoS, but there is a small capacitor like cube towards the handle. Then you might think Power Maul in 40k, but it’s much too small for it, which leads us to the conclusion. Could be a Sisters of Battle or other Imperial model wielding a Power Maul-like weapon, although, not exactly one.
December 21st, 2020
A Dagger In The Back: Advent Calendar Day 21
The Dagger in this engine is very simple, and the hand is definitely humanoid, meaning it’s most likely going to be for Aelves or Humans in AoS. However, it could potentially also be for Warcry, Necromunda, or even a special character, like an Inquisitor in 40k.
Simple and sweet is nice, and this dagger will definitely give whoever is holding it a menacing touch.
December 22nd, 2020
The Bats Are In The Air Tonight: Advent Calendar Day 22
This bit screams Nighthaunt/Vampires. Technically speaking it could be for something else, however that winged appendage design is already seen in both their line-ups, it also looks similar to the entire Flesh-eater Courts faction. It seems to be on a rock, so this arm probably is its own model rather than something accompanying a bigger model, like the Rat seen earlier on day 12.
December 24th, 2020
Stick It To The Man: Advent Calendar Day 24
At first glance, this looks to be another AoS bit. Probably being a wizard or hermit style wanderer, or even a wildlife/nature-based mage, maybe similar to the recent Lumineth Realm Lords release. It looks human, although it could definitely be Aelven. The stick is pretty basic and the garb is minimal so it’s safe to assume this isn’t 40k, although it’s not impossible.

Another New Ork: GW Rumor Engine For 2021
We’ve got a solid GW rumor engine today that looks very Ork like- which bodes well for the chances of new Xenos models in 2021!
January 12th, 2021
Here Lizard, Lizard, Lizard: New GW Rumor Engine
This Lizard doesn’t give away too much, but it does look like it is just hanging out on a rock. Lizards and reptiles like this one are pretty common but only really for one faction: Seraphon. It’s not impossible seeing this little guy on a terrain piece or even making a surprise appearance on say a Catachan jungle base. However, the easiest answer is sometimes the correct one.
January 19th, 2021
A Lunging Predator: New GW Rumor Engine
This is very clearly an animal lunging at something, but what animal? It seems to be some kind of a 4 legged animal. Perhaps a feline, hound, or even a large reptile. The bit it is leaping from does appear to have either goo or moss coming off of it, which suggests a jungle or wastes setting. Perhaps the Catachan have adopted a pet tiger or giant lizard?

That looks Like New Tyranids: Rumor Engine
Well, we’ve already taken a guess at this one. It just looks too much like a Tyranid tail for us to think much further. Just the tantalizing idea of new Tyranid minis seems to be scrambling our brains. While it could always be something else, it just looks too alien for many other factions. They also mention it could be man-made by more advanced humans.

Not A Single Weak Link: New GW Rumor Engine
This one is a little tricky. It could be lots of things for lots of factions. Let’s start simple, with all the runes/symbols it has. While we can’t place them, the inclusion of them might remove a model like Tyranids for example. The pieces seem to be welded together cleanly, which might remove destruction or Undead. Due to the pieces being connected it might mean that it’s a large model, meaning it was easier to wield multiple things together than make a new much bigger thing.

Two Heads Are Better Than One: New GW Rumor Engine
This very well might be an Ogre/Giant/Ogryn head and an Aelf/Eldar head. This immediately means it could be any game system or timeline really. However, there’s one thing that really stands out on this bit that has to do with recent reveals… Cruelty and Gore. This isn’t really based on much, as this bit could be anything, however, the new Cursed City Warhammer Quest looks like it could be a perfect environment for this bit.

Carrion Vulture: New GW Rumor Engine
This is clearly a vulture bit, however, it’s unsure where to place it. There was another Vulture bit, back in September, so whenever either bit gets placed, it’s fair to assume the other will be in the same faction. However, until then, the only real guess is that this is more likely to be AoS. Whether it’s part of a terrain piece or maybe inside Cursed City is unknown. The only thing that’s fair to assume is that death will be close by.

Hooves of Darkness: New GW Rumor Engine
Well, this one doesn’t have quite as much mystery as some of the other rumor engines we’ve seen lately, but it does raise a few questions. Who will it be for and could it be part of a big release? Well, first we think it’s for the Slaves to Darkness Chaos Knights. Secondly, it looks like Be’lakor is coming soon so that only bodes well for the boys of Chaos in AoS to get a big release.

A Medic For Imperial Guard? New GW Rumor Engine
The one thing that really stands out on this bit is that Aquilla made it look like the medical symbol (and that it’s 3d printed). This probably is not for Space Marines since they have apothecaries, however, there have been rumors about Gaurd getting some love.
Not to mention they are still loyalists so the symbology is still accurate! The two things that are absolutely sure are that this is not Chaos or Xenos and is definitely in 40k, not AoS.
March 9th, 2021
Pincers At The Ready: Tyranids GW Rumor Engine
This Pincer tail instantly jumps out as a Tyranid bit candidate. Technically speaking it could be some other insectoid thing in say AoS or on a base or something. But our money is on our favorite word eating swarm getting some love.So far each codex update for 9th edition 40k has gotten some model support alongside it, so hopefully, whenever it’s the ‘Nids turn, they won’t be different.
March 16th, 2021
Turn the Valve Kronk: New GW Rumor Engine
While initially, this bit doesn’t really jump out as anyone faction or another, it’s almost certainly 40k as machined steel like this is extremely uncommon in AoS. That being said it’s probably Loyalist, but only because there’s nothing screaming Xenos or Chaos on it.
It could technically also just be a new terrain piece, but we think it may be a new vehicle for Adeptus Mechanicus.
March 23rd, 2021
To Peirce And Tear: New GW Rumor Engine
This serrated edge could be to a spear, spike, dagger, and a few other things, but ultimately the craftsmanship and savage nature of it is what makes it stand out. This is most likely for a new Dark Eldar/Aelves release for either 40k or AoS respectively. This could technically be for Chaos in both games as well, but curved blades are much more common in the Dark Eldar/Aelves lineups.
March 30th, 2021
Net Neutrality: New GW Rumor Engine
This net is an interesting bit, and nets are a little rare in Warhammer, however, they do exist. Looking at this, we might immediately think AoS, who would be crazy enough to try to catch a chainsword wielding Space Marine, or even a futuristic Tau Mech?
In AoS this could be a lot of factions, Empire trappers, Chaos Torturers, Tribal Orrruks, and the list goes on. There is also a single 40k example that came to mind…
April 6th, 2021
Candlelight Vigil: New GW Rumor Engine
This bit features and metal structure and some burning candles, which is immediately symbolic to one army in particular. Sisters of Battle, or Adepta Sororitas, are very well known for their excessive use of flames, whether that be candles, giant censures, or flamers. They really do take the idea of “Purifying Flames” quite literally.
While Sisters might be the easier answer, this could also very well be a bit for Age of Sigmar. It wouldn’t be too surprising to see a Nighthaunt or Cities of Sigmar model with this on its back like the old Bright Wizards in Fantasy.
April 13th, 2021
Big Red Detonator: New GW Rumor Engine
This bit features a clawed hand holding some sort of detonator remote. Firstly, this bit is going to be in the SciFi setting, immediately knocking out the possibility of AoS. This is most likely coming to 40k, or perhaps a specialist game. Second, that hand is strikingly familiar to man Genestealer’s hands, along with the carapace-like armor on its arm. Lastly, the technology also resembles Guard, and in turn Genestealer Cult technology as well.
April 20th, 2021
Activate The Shields: New GW Rumor Engine
This weekes engine bit is pretty straightforward, with some tech and a hand. Looking at the theme displayed there are three possibilities, Tau, Genestealers, and Inquisitors. Tau gets thrown out because most Tau has 3 fingers, this hand looks like it has 4. It’s ultimately a tie between inquisitors and Genestealers because Genestealer tech usually isn’t this reformed and naturally more like guards simpler tech. Inquisitors have recently been re-acquiring alien tech to use for the emperor, so it’s a possibility of that here as well.
Rumor Engine Roundup: Last Batch of Bits Debunked
Each of these rumor engines has been fully debunked (showing the full model). Just like last month, the list actually shrunk a tad with more getting solved than added!

More New Orks? GW Rumor Engine SPOTTED!
Pretty much dead-on with our prediction, but it wasn’t entirely difficult to make. Who would have known it was a Grot riding a new squig though?!
March 31st, 2020
A Bone To Pick With: New GW Rumor Engine SPOTTED
Once again we knew ahead of time this bit was probably for an Ossiarch Warband due to the silhouette in the roadmap post earlier this year, and now we know that was was correct.
June 16th, 2020
New GW Rumor Engine Spotted: More New Primaris?
We aren’t right every time, and there may not be firstborn marines coming, but this new mech model does look cool enough, so we might forget and just bask in its glory.
July 21st, 2020
Another Imperium Revolver? New GW Rumor Engine
Thanks to previous Admech releases this revolver was much easier to place than the servitor, and we have gotten our confirmation that our guess was correct!
October 6th, 2020
Chained & Spiked: New GW Rumor Engine
We could not have been further off, but as a daemon fanboy, Be’lakor is hype! At least we got the tail bit right, maybe more engines will surprise us all too?
October 20th, 2020
The Skeleton Ship Sails: New GW Rumor Engine
We weren’t right about this one either, but looking back, and comparing his old model. The hints are definitely there, which is part of the reason why Rumor engines are fun, there is usually enough to figure it out if you look hard enough (at least for updated models, maybe not brand new ones).
December 7th, 2020
No One Expects The Inquisition: Advent Calendar Day 7
As it turns out that ‘I’ wasn’t for the Inquisition, but was actually a Sisters model! This model might have some interesting features but getting hit with that mace sure won’t feel good.
December 23rd, 2020
Edna Said No Capes: Advent Calendar Day 23
Pretty close here, but we didn’t make specific predictions for advent engines. Needless to say, Bloodknights were begging to get a new kit. This squad looks like it will be well worth the wait once they drop.
December 20th, 2020
A Cage For Your Thoughts: Advent Calendar Day 20
Looks like we were spot on with that Sisters of Battle guess! Sisters are super popular so them getting new models is a good way to please a lot of people.
