On The Horizon: Horus Heresy New Releases Coming Soon
Here are all the upcoming Horus Heresy releases we know are on the horizon, but just don’t ask when. Look for more information to drop shortly about all the new products in this section, soon™.
Spartan Prometheus Assault Tank
The Spartan Prometheus swaps out the standard lascannons for heavy bolter arrays or laser destroyers, giving it a nice “pick your flavor of overkill” vibe, whether you want to mulch infantry or crack open enemy armor.
New Plastic Falchion on the Way
The new plastic Falchion looks like exactly what Horus Heresy needed, a Titan-hunting brute built around an absurd neutron-wave cannon, and since Games Workshop already had the chassis rolling around in Legions Imperialis, it was only a matter of time before this showed up with what is probably an upgrade sprue for the Fellblade.
Years from now, we will see the inevitable all-variants box set for Fellbade, Falchion, and Glaive as well.
Whirlwind Missile Tank
The Whirlwind is the classic Rhino-with-a-missile-rack setup, built to dump explosive pain on targets whether it can see them or not. With different ammo types and the speed to reposition when things get hot, it’s the kind of artillery piece that fits just as well in a mobile force as it does in a siege line.

Charonite Ogryn Section: May 16th, 2026
Charonite Ogryns are what happens when the Solar Auxilia look at Space Marines and decide the answer is more drugs, more steel, and way less concern for workplace safety. Now in plstic these brutes look brutal in all the right ways, with their industrial-looking implanted weapons and suits.
Rapier Fire Support Battery: May 16th, 2026
The Rapier Fire Support Battery can be built as a thudd gun tossing out frag and shatter shells, or the mole mortar literally firing into the ground to ruin someone’s day from below.
Rapier Direct Fire Battery: May 16th, 2026
The Rapier Direct Fire Battery brings options for anti-infantry firepower and a laser destroyer for punching tanks in the face.
Journal Tactica: The Battle of Tallarn Part 1: May 16th, 2026
Tallarn is one of those Horus Heresy battlefields that already comes with plenty of built-in hype. Getting updated rules for the new Rapiers, Charonite Ogryns, and the Command Tank version of the Spartan Prometheus gives this release some real support beyond just the plastic kits.
Legio Custodes Seperate Kit Releases: May 2nd, 2026
The Separate releases for all the new Legio Custodes kits, along with the new Coronus and Venatari kits, are here, but chances are you could still find the battle group boxes at a discount and save some cash on everything else.
Hitting store shelves on May 2nd are the following (keep in mind the Legio Custodes Battle Group was released on April 4th, 2026, for $255)
- Custodian Guard
- Custodian Sentinels
- Caladius Annihilator Grav-tank
- Plastic Contemptor Kit (makes Achillus and Galatus)
- Shield Captain
- Venatari (not in battle group)
- A Second Caladius variant (not in battle group)
- Coronus Grav Carrier (not in battle group)
Legio Custodes Battle Group: April 4th 2026
This is a box of Elite infantry, elite walkers, and elite tanks. No mystery there. The Custodes are not here to flood the table with bodies; they are here to look expensive, hit like a truck, and remind everyone why the Emperor kept these guys close at hand.
- Shield Captain
- Custodian Guard
- Sentinel Guard
- Contemptor-Achillus or Contemptor-Galatus Dreadnought
- Caladius Annihilator grav-tank
The separate releases for these kits release on May 2nd, 2026
Mailed Fist Journal Tactica: April 4th 2026
Mailed Fist: Legiones Astartes Super-Heavy Tanks is the companion piece to all this armor madness, packing lore, new rules for super-heavy companies, and datasheets for the big tanks we have seen lately into a forty-eight-page book that should make tank fans and anyone planning to spam steel bricks in Horus Heresy pretty happy.
Liber Custodes: April 4th 2026
All these kits need a rules and lore home, and Liber Custodes is being set up as the go-to book for running Legio Custodes in Horus Heresy.
It also folds in Sisters of Silence, an Agents of the Divisio Assassinorum addendum, plus rules for Constantin Valdor and Jenetia Krole, which screams “full support package” instead of a drip feed.
Glaive Super-heavy Special Weapons Tank: April 4th 2026
The Glaive is a Fellblade chassis that traded subtlety for a massive volkite carronade, and the result is exactly as rude as it sounds. It throws out a brutal heat beam that punches through armor and cooks whatever is left, making it a pretty nasty answer to elite infantry and anything else caught in front of it. It’s also finally coming to plastic, with plenty of hull and sponson options to mess with.
Winter Horus Heresy New Releases: Q1 2026
Myrmidon Destructors: March 14th, 2026
The new kit packs six plastic bruisers loaded with darkfire cannons, weird energy guns, radiation sprayers, and enough spare heads and servo-skulls to make any tech-fanatic grin.
Mechanicum Skitarii Battle Group: January 10th, 2026
The new Skitarii Battle Group brings augmented zealots and a plastic Vultarax to the field for some serious Mars-style mayhem.
The separate products from this box set were released on March 14th, 2026.
Angron Transfigured & Lotara: January 10th, 2026
Angron, now a fully warped instrument of the Blood God, and Lotara Sarrin, the iron-willed captain of The Conqueror, are stepping onto the battlefield in stunning new Forge World miniatures.
Siege Assault Battle Group: January 10th, 2026
The Siege Assault box drops a full breach team of Cataphractii Terminators, Breachers, and a Leviathan Dreadnought ready to turn fortresses into dust.
The separate products from this box set were released on February 14th, 2026.
- 6x Cataphractii Terminators with volkite chargers
- 6x Cataphractii Terminators with bolters and powerfists
- 10x Breachers

Warhammer 40k Horus Heresy Roadmap & Previews
Previews of the Coming Future in 2026
Space Marines aren’t hogging all the plastic love either; Forge World’s finest are rolling out new troops from Mars, too. This ended up being the new Mechanicum Battle-Pilgryms
Look sharp, there’s also a gleam of auramite steel. Someone very golden will arrive in 2026: the new Legio Custodes.

The Horus Heresy never fails to surprise, and in 2025, the Age of Darkness was anything but quiet. Games Workshop said in early 2025 we’d be treated to an array of new tanks and plastic weapon options for existing walkers, and they did not disappoint.
We also got new digital rules that covered just about every flavor of carnage from the Age of Darkness.

Legion Imperialis New Releases: December 20th, 2025
The Age of Darkness just got a serious upgrade, and it’s not for the faint of heart, or the lightly armored. Between hulking Saturnine Terminators, rolling fortresses, and enough firepower to make a Titan flinch, these new Legions Imperialis battle groups are here to remind everyone who the real heavy hitters are.
Saturnine Battle Group
The heavy hitters have arrived, and this bundle is basically Vulkan’s dream team of destruction. Inside you’ll find:
- 2 Saturnine Heavy Assault Cadre sets with a total of 12 Terminator squads, 4 Command squads, and 8 Saturnine Dreadnoughts ready to melt anything in sight.
- 1 Araknae Weapons Platform set with 8 platforms that can be armed with quad autocannons, punisher cannons, or frag missile batteries.
- 8 Vindicator Siege Tanks, 2 Mastodon Super-heavy Transports, and 2 Fire Raptors for when subtlety’s not on the menu.
- Plus transfer sheets for vehicles and aircraft because grimdark armor deserves proper heraldry.
Legiones Astartes Combined Arms Battle Group
The Space Marines’ answer to “what if we just took everything?” You get infantry, tanks, Dreadnoughts, and flyers for a fully loaded strike force:
- 2 Legion Command Squads
- 8 Tactical Legionary bases
- 2 Terminator bases
- 2 Assault Marine bases
- 4 Support Legionary bases
- 4 each of Contemptor, Leviathan, and Deredeo Dreadnoughts
- 4 Rapiers, 4 Tarantulas, 4 Kratos, 4 Sicaran Tanks
- 6 Land Raider Proteus and 6 Xiphon Interceptors
Basically, it’s a small apocalypse in a box.
Solar Auxilia Combined Arms Battle Group
The humans aren’t sitting this one out either. This box brings elite troops and armored muscle in equal measure:
- 2 Command bases, 8 Infantry bases, 4 Flamers, 4 Veletarii, and 4 Ogryn bases
- 4 Aethon Heavy Sentinels, 12 Rapiers, 4 Cyclops units, and 12 Tarantulas
- 2 Super-heavy Tanks, 6 Dracosans, 8 Leman Russ, and 6 Lightning Fighters
It’s the perfect mix of “we’re only human” and “we brought tanks anyway.”
Everything Else in the Drop
- Saturnine Heavy Assault Cadre:
- Araknae Weapons Platforms
- Legion Super-heavy Tanks: Falchion, Ascalon, Fellblade, and Glaive variants

Summer Legions Imperialis New Releases: Q3 2025
