Most of these Games Workshop releases are orderable, but they might be low on stock or higher in price already on the secondary market. So be sure to check out all of the offerings and pick up anything you might want while they are still available…

Ûthar the Destined Retail Price: $38

This kit builds Ûthar the Destined, a legendary Kâhl chosen by prophecy to lead the Greater Thurian League. Clad in a finely-crafted battle-suit and protected by the defensive field of his rampart crest, Ûthar is posed raising the immaculately-crafted Blade of the Ancestors skyward, to signal the advance and inspire his troops to even greater acts of martial prowess. He wields a searing volkanite disintegrator in his other hand, to take on foes at any distance.

This kit can alternatively build a Kâhl for any of the Leagues, armed with a variety of weapons and wargear.

Grimnyr Retail Price: $45

This multipart plastic kit one Grimnyr, a powerful and cunning psyker accompanied by two CORVs. Draped in ornate ceremonial robes and protected by their bird-headed ward crest, this shamanic figure wields an ancestral ward stave capped with a Votannic visage. The kit includes a choice of two heads – one with a beard and mysterious hood, and the other with flowing braids. The rune-marked CORVs that accompany the Grimnyr into battle lend fire support with Autoch-pattern bolters, but also act as conduits to protect them from dangerous surges of empyreal power.

Einhyr Champion Retail Price: $38

This kit builds an Einhyr Champion, a heavily-armoured leader for the Leagues of Votann. Clad in bulky exo-armour with a rune-etched RAM shield mounted on one arm, this indomitable vanguard strides forward with impunity, leading the charge with crushing mass while firing explosive shells from their Autoch-pattern combi-bolter. The kit includes a choice of two melee weapons for destroying enemies in close combat – a crushing mass hammer or finely-wrought darkstar axe – as well as two different crest designs to represent either a teleport crest or defensive weavefield crest. You’ll also find two head options and a choice of two shield plate designs, to further customise your Champion.

Einhyr Hearthguard Retail Price: $60

This multipart plastic kit builds five Einhyr Hearthguard, elite Kin equipped with the finest armour and weapons available. Their bulky, rune-etched exo-armour allows them to withstand concentrated enemy fire, and incorporates a shoulder-mounted grenade launcher. Each model can be armed with a choice of ranged and melee weapons – an EtaCarn plasma gun or volkanite disintegrator for blasting away at a distance, and a concussion gauntlet or plasma blade gauntlet for close fighting. The kit includes 19 interchangeable heads – 12 unique bare heads, five helmets, and two helmets with open visors. One model can also be built as a Hesyr leader, equipped with a concussion hammer and a choice of two different crests.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Brôkhyr Iron-master, a high-ranking field engineer with an accompanying retinue. Armed with a graviton rifle and graviton hammer of their own creation, the Iron-master’s technological skill is displayed by the many tools strung about their void-suit – a panoply spread across their four aides. A reliable Ironkin Assistant carries plenty of extra hardware, including a las-beam cutter, and three E-COGs hover with specialist tools in tow – a plasma torch, manipulator arms, and an Autoch-pattern bolt pistol, respectively. The kit includes a multispectral visor for the Iron-master, which can be worn over the eyes or pushed up onto their forehead.

These Kin are encased in hefty exo-frames that help support their heavy armaments, and wear advanced omni-visors for scanning the battlefield. Each model can be armed with a rugged and reliable bolt cannon, a graviton blast cannon that turns the enemy’s weight against them, or a powerful SP conversion beamer. Hearthkyn Warriors Retail Price: $55

This multipart plastic kit builds 10 Hearthkyn Warriors, sturdy Kin soldiers clad in enclosed void armour. Each Hearthkyn Warrior is equipped with a Autoch-pattern bolt pistol and gravitic concussion grenades, and can be armed with your choice of an Autoch-pattern bolter or an ion blaster. The kit includes a huge armoury of weapons and wargear – you’ll find a medipack, multiwave comms array, and pan spectral scanner, as well as a magna-rail rifle, HYLas auto rifle, L7 missile launcher, and EtaCarn plasma beamer to arm up to two specialists. This multipart plastic kit builds three Hernkyn Pioneers, roaming Kin mounted on manoeuvrable hovering trikes. Each bike incorporates a hull-mounted magna-coil autocannon, while the riders are armed with bolt revolvers and bolt shotguns – either wielded in one hand or strapped to the bike – as well as gravitic concussion grenades. The kit includes a variety of special wargear – one bike can be joined by a rear gunner firing either a HYLas rotary cannon or ion beamer, while other bikes can be equipped with a rollbar searchlight, multiwave comms array, or pan spectral scanner. There’s also a huge mix of extra stowage and cosmetic equipment to customise each of your bikers, as well as 10 different heads sporting a variety of goggles, hoods, and flight caps – including an Ironkin head.

The Hekaton also sports a rear-facing MATR autocannon, and a pan spectral scanner which can be replaced by a missile silo – containing either a Kin’s wrath, mountain breaker, or Ancestor’s vengeance wearhead. The tank boasts reinforced layers of armour, all-around transport hatches for delivering its pugnacious cargo, and a pilot visible beneath a screen of clear plastic – the kit includes a choice of three different heads to customise your driver, as well as optional lights for the rollbars.

This miniature is festooned with bestial trophies attesting to his skills as a veteran tracker, from pelts and half-chewed body parts to the reptilian head he uses as a quiver. He goes barefoot to help him sneak around the battlefield, with a pair of antlers strapped to his head as camouflage, until he can use his barbed spears and crossbow bolts to bring down his prey.

All of the new models are sweet, and this new Command Squad is no different.

The new Field Ordinance Batteries look great too! there’s no mistaking the fear of being at the wrong end of these.

The Sentinel may not have come to mind for many people as a model needing an update, but this new kit looks great either way!

Finally, the bread and butter. These new Cadian Shock Troops look fantastic and much more detailed and dynamic than before, which will have a rippling effect on armies that use them as their backbone.

The box also includes an exclusive copy of the new Codex: Astra Militarum with a soft-touch cover starring Lord Solar Leontus, as well as 63 datacards to keep track of your Strategems, psychic powers, and Regimental Orders. Ork Goff Rocker Retail Price: $35

This festive Commemorative Series miniature has no specific rules or battlefield role in games of Warhammer 40,000, however, you are free to use the Goff Rocker miniature as a Boy, Nob, Flash Git, or any other appropriate role found within Codex: Orks.

This 10-piece plastic kit contains the components required to build one Goff Rocker miniature. It requires assembly and is supplied unpainted

The Goff Rocker is available for pre-order from Saturday and will be on the shelf from the following Saturday. Anyone who orders him before New years Eve will be guaranteed to receive one.

As the “festive” model for this year, this is a great option for just one more fun mini-hobby project if that’s what you’re looking for.

New Chaos Lord MTO Pricing

As we said, there are a lot of products on MTO right now, which means it can take up to 180 days to get, so just keep that in mind when ordering your stuff.

Archaon, Lord of the End Times MTO From GW: $50

Archaon may have grown in size and spikes since destroying the World-that-Was, but his classic miniature is now back in metal. Whether you’re looking for a painting challenge or want to use him as a Chaos Lord in your new Slaves to Darkness army, this iconic miniature is a great addition to any Chaos collection.

As easily one of my favorite old-school models, we might be a little biased, but none can argue this model’s importance to lore. From a collection standpoint, this might tickle a lot of fancies. And the best part is you can proxy him in as a chaos lord if you really want to!

Khorne Chaos Lord MTO From GW: $32

Claim skulls for Khorne with this classic champion, cast in metal. You can use him in your games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar as a Slaves to Darkness Chaos Lord – with the Mark of Khorne, obviously – or as an Aspiring Deathbringer in your Blades of Khorne force.

Even more easily played in AoS, this old Khorne lord still has an applicable Battlescroll to use in the current game! (although you’ll have to double-check the base size requirement)

Nurgle Chaos Lord MTO From GW: $32

Painters and hobbyists looking to pick up a classic sculpt can give praise to the Plaguefather! Field this metal champion in a Maggotkin of Nurgle army as a Lord of Plagues, or as a Chaos Lord marked by Nurgle to command your Slaves to Darkness. Or just grab one to try out a few new techniques for painting rust.

As one of the next few more unique and less-seen options, this Nurgle lord would fit right into a Maggotkin force!

Slaanesh Chaos Lord MTO From GW: $32

See if the path of excess leads to success with this classic Slaanesh Chaos Lord, cast in metal. Use him as an alternative Lord of Pain in your Hedonites of Slaanesh army, or command your Slaves to Darkness army as a Chaos Lord with the Mark of Slaanesh.

Continuing the trend, this Slanesh lord would probably look right at home in the current day Hedonites faction!

Tzeentch Chaos Lord with Familiar MTO From GW: $32

Just as planned, Tzeentch joins in the Made to Order fun. As with their brethren above, this metal Chaos Sorceror Lord can be used in a Slaves to Darkness army, or be added to your Disciples of Tzeentch as a Magister.

Tzeentch is probably right there with Khorne in terms of old models still matching the new aesthetics well, so feel free to use this guy as is in your current Tzeentch armies! (Just be wary of the slight scale changes)

Mounted Chaos Sorcerer MTO From GW: $42

Finally, there’s the classic Mounted Chaos Sorcerer, also cast in metal. They might not have rules for Warhammer Age of Sigmar, but they’re great for painters and collectors – or you could use them as a berobed Chaos Lord on a Daemonic Mount. With no specific markings, you could dedicate this miniature to any of the Chaos Gods* – or the powers Undivided – as you see fit.
