GW Previews New Miniatures for Horus Heresy in 2024

Games Workshop revealed what’s next for Horus Heresy 2024 with three new miniatures, including a Command Squad and Solar Auxilia.

We just got a teaser of three new miniatures for Horus Heresy in 2024. While they are silhouettes from GW’s latest teaser video, we think it’s clear what factions they are for! They even put one of the units in the roadmap for the game, so we have a good idea of what we’re seeing.

3 New Miniatures Coming For Horus Heresy in 2024

Warhammer Community gifted hobbyists a teaser video of future models on December 27th, 2023. We’ll skip over the year-in-review montage portion and look closer at the new stuff.

It’s been a busy year for the Horus Heresy, what with the thunderous arrival of the MKVI Assault Squad, the MKIII Tactical Squad, the mighty Deredeo Dreadnought, plastic Cerastus-class Knights, and more – and 2024 is set to be just as intense.

New Horus Heresy Command Squad

Well, this one is pretty obviously a banner, but if you ask us, this looks like an MKIII marine. Getting the different armor marks in more specialty squads is always cool.

If you go back to the roadmap from Warhammer Fest, GW promised a plastic Legion Command Squad, and it looks like this is the first sighting. Considering we already saw the Assault Squad, hopefully, we see this before too long into 2024.

New Solar Auxilia

This doesn’t look like a marine! At the beginning of the new edition, GW promised we would eventually see plastic Solar Auxilia. Now, it looks like it’s finally happening. Considering the Solar Auxilia have nothing in the new edition, this could be a big launch. Or maybe just a couple of units in plastic and then some resin characters and such. Either way, seeing new Solar Auxilia miniatures is great, and we are hoping for plastic squads now!

The new shrouded mini is pretty close to the existing Lasrifle Section, but these are in resin. Let’s hope they keep them in squads of 20 and priced right. That way not only could Horus Heresy players use them, but Warhammer 40k players for cool-looking Guard squads, too.

Last but not least, we have a walker. This looks like the early version of a sentinel, and for Legions Imperialis, we’ve seen the Aethon Heavy Sentinels, but these are much more lightly armed. People have wished for this for some time. Again, we hope whatever this turns out to be is a plastic kit for the Solar Auxilia!
