Silver Templars, the all-Primaris Space Marine Chapter first seen in GW’s Conquest subscription just got new 40k rules stratagems and more!
Coming from Chapter Master Valrak on YouTube, he mentioned that a source brought him some pics of support given to the Silver Templars Chapter found inside the Conquest subscription from GW. But before we jump into what’s been spotted, here’s everything you need to know about the Silver Templars.
We should fill in some background information first. Warhammer Conquest is a subscription that’s designed to build up new hobbyists collection. From paints to brushes and miniatures, you’ll get a small helping of hobby supplies in each helping.
This was where the Silver Templars were originally announced.
Warhammer Conquest Gives Helping Hand to Silver Templars
Just who are the Silver Templars? As we said above, they were first introduced inside of Warhammer Conquest. They are a Chapter that’s relatively new in terms of all the other Chapters out there like Blood Angels, Space Wolves, Etc. Our first previews from a while back showed different kinds of artwork and lore as well as a Chapter Master being mentioned (although there is no word on his official model just yet).

Earlier on, letters were sent out to Warhammer Conquest subscribers with details on a new Silver Templars Sourcebook with the cost of £19.99/€29.99. Note this is not a Codex.
As mentioned previously, the even have their own Chapter Master named Akilios Zanaris. Now moving on, you might have already started your Silver Templars…or this might be the first time you’ve ever heard of them. However, if you’re a fan of the Chapter, even more is in store for the Chapter.
Silver Templars Paint Guide & More
Coming from Sabldenah once again, there is a picture of a letter sent to Warhammer Conquest subscribers. For an additional £34.99, hobbyists look to get a pretty sweet deal overall. This all includes:
- five multipart Primaris Intercessors
- one Primaris Lieutenant
- Paints & Transfers
- 36-page painting guide themes around Silver Templars
New 40k Primaris Rules For Silver Templars SPOTTED
For the named Lieutenant, Eskadon, he’s got the same statline and wargear that you’d normally see from any Primaris LT. The two key differences is that he has +1 Ld. and Codex Discipline which allows him to fall back and shoot at a -1 to hit penalty. In other words, this is the base Ultramarine Chapter Tactic thrown into the datasheet as regular rules.

A named Intercessor squad called Squad Oskas is in the same boat. they’re a normal Intecessors unit with regular wargear, but have +1 Leadership and can also fall back and shoot at a -1 penalty. The bad thing about Squad Oskas is that you can only have a max of five models (as the way it’s worded on the datasheet).
Expert Duelist has its niche uses, but at 1CP being able to reroll all hits might not be a bad thing. Especially with something like a Captain with a Thunder Hammer.
Targeted Volley is worded very weird, but if you pop 2CP on an Intercessors unit, it lets you snipe out a certain model. This is actually really useful for taking out special weapons or maybe a model that’s been elected to carry an objective (if you’re playing a scenario like that).
And there you have it! Overall, it looks like Silver Templars have the Ultramarines Chapter tactics stamped onto their datasheet
