Jack of Clubs Feature rWyatt from Jack of Clubs goes over the new Pro Acryl Primer and sees how it works to get your minis ready for the next stage of painting!

Jack of Clubs Painting is a regular here and normally shows us how to fully paint our favorite models. This time though, he’s giving his thoughts on a new product from Monument Hobbies. He focuses on how they work to get your minis primed and how they color match. Watch the video for all the insights, or check out our notes for the step by step. Let’s dive into it!

Pro Acryl Primer Review: Jack of Clubs Tutorial

Pro Acryl PrimersHe recently picked up three of the new primers, Black, Dark Neutral Grey, and White. If you want to grab any of the colors, (they have 5) you can grab them here! But right off the bat, he’s loved them so far!

The Black Primer

Black PrimerHe’s priming the Pop Goes the Monkey Plague Demon Lord today. He breaks out his airbrush, loads up some paint, and gets started! He just keeps at a consistent distance and gets very good coverage. It is very comparable to the Synylrez Primers and easier to find. Overall it worked well and was actually cheaper than a lot of options.

Dark Neutral Grey Primer

Dark Neutral Grey PrimerTo him, this is one of the best gey colors he’s found. Just overall super easy to work with and looks great on the model.

Pro Acryl Primer: White

White PrimerHe’s had some issues with the Synylrez  White, so that’s why he wanted to try these out. First, he cleans out the airbrush then loads it up with this white primer. He hits the mini from a top-down angle and to get a nice little highlight on top. This was the most surprising to him of all the primers. Because normally, white primers don’t work too well without being treated with flow improver and such. With this, you don’t need any of that and it just goes on super well and he was overall impressed with it.

Overall he really likes the primers and would definitely recommend them for the price.
