Like many adventures before this one, our story starts in a tavern with the consumption of ale. Tales of daring feats on the tabletop were shared back and forth between our heroes, and, what was once an idea, became a plan to action. A new iteration of Adventure Tiles, modular 2D neoprene terrain began to take shape.
We have spent hours looking at mat sizes, component configurations, and playability to create products useful for any RPG group that uses miniatures or wargamers looking for the precision 2D terrain can bring. As we developed more components and new sets came to mind, we determined that a platform like Kickstarter and backers like you would help us realize these possibilities and launch this concept onto the tabletop.
Each set layout has been playtested thoroughly to make sure it is durable, reusable, and filled with the right amount of character while still workable into most campaign storylines. Lay out your encounter in just a few minutes and make changes on the fly. With this modular terrain, you can easily add or remove these quality art elements from your games quickly and conveniently.
The Wilderness Mat Starter Set is the foundation for this series. The 30” by 30” mat is sized to play on most game and kitchen tables while the 8 elements add an impressive amount of encounter layout combinations all on their own.
The Wilderness Mat Starter Set includes all the pieces shown in the picture above. These components are full art, die-cut neoprene terrain available as a set with or without a white 1” grid layer. This product is included in the Explorer pledge level and above.
Ruins is an amazing set that adds tactical elements to the encounter with various wall and design possibilities. Use the ruined walls to lay out ancient structures, frame areas of interest or simply add them as tactical obstacles.

The savage village adds a number of great focal points for your encounters. Utilize the placement of a few tents for a raiding or scouting force or the larger round hut to stage a battle within and without! The inside of the large round hut is even big enough to allow the smaller components in the set to be swapped in and out as you choose. Use these same components and mix and match with the other expansion sets!
