Legion Herald

Welcome back Hobby Fans, today Kenny is back with another amazing Next Level Painting tutorial on making realistic looking scratches on power armor!

Kenny is sharing some of his Ancient Chinese Techniques with us today.  This amazing Legion Herald has some real sculpted battle damage, but Kenny wanted to spice it up a bit more and really take it to the Next Level.

Kenny Face

Starting with this amazing model Kenny lays down some black lines along the shoulder pad to create the dark shadow of the scratch.

Next Kenny takes his detail brush and mixes a little bit of white in to make a mid-tone grey.  Using this grey Kenny traces the underside of the scratch, highlighting it and giving it volume.

Finally Kenny uses the pure white to add a tiny trace along the bottom of the scratch to give it the final highlight to make it really pop.

Check out the whole video here for more of Kenny’s tricks and Ancient Chinese Techniques!
