Even more designs have been spotted for our anticipated new Sisters of Battle models. Check out some renders for the Rhino chassis that will be coming soon.
Coming from Warhammer Community’s Sister of Battle bulletin, we’ve got new vehicle bits. If you missed the latest pics of the new Sisters bits and rumors previewed, make sure you get caught up.
Previous Bulletin Showcases Seraphim Model
Games Workshop announced that they’ll be posting everything to do with Sisters of Battle in a section of their website called the “Battle Sister Bulletin” this will be your one-stop-shop place to find all the latest details on the faction as Games Workshop works to bring us a codex.
In their last preview, Warhammer Community showcased a brand new Seraphim model!
One of the most enduring images of the Adepta Sororitas is that of their winged Seraphim swooping into battle, bolt pistols blazing. The Seraphim has always been portrayed as angelic, holy warriors, and the new miniature captures one such Battle Sister perfectly…
Newly Previewed Seraphim Model
Metal Seraphim for Comparison
Many of the design cues for the Seraphim miniature have been taken from the Geminae Superia – the sisters Genevieve and Eleanor – who accompany Celestine, the Living Saint. After all, as protectors of a divine being, the Geminae Superia are perhaps the finest exemplars of what it means to be members of the Adepta Sororitas.
We think it’s safe to say that the design on the new Seraphim model is definitely a step up. The new units will also be coming in plastic which just makes for better conversions and the paint job will last longer. The Seraphim are still looking to be the same jump pack Sisters you love with a brand new sculpt update!
Sisters of Battle Rhino Bits Previewed
Some of these vehicles are based upon the Mk I Deimos-pattern Rhino Standard Template Construct (STC) and are ancient in origin. The oldest examples are baroque masterpieces, having been reverently maintained and embellished with additional Ecclesiarchal decorations for millennia.
We’ve got an early look at the 3D detailing going into their Rhinos. The Sisters are definitely keeping their classic iconography of the fleur-de-lys.
Another feature of the Deimos-pattern Rhino chassis is that its four large exhausts are only partially clad with armor plating, if at all. This open design has enabled the vehicle’s exhausts to be styled in the image of tall braziers, really emphasizing the Gothic imagery for which the Adepta Sororitas are renowned.
It wouldn’t be the vehicle of religious zealots if the exhaust pipes didn’t look something like church torches, right?
Looking at the side armor options for their vehicles, the Rhino is looking to be a mobile monastery on the battlefield. These tanks will without a doubt have the most detail packed into them over any other Imperium faction.
Last but not least, you have to have Servitor #2735 to operate what we hope will be a new style Penitent Engine. The Sisters are bringing a new level of detail to the Rhino that we’ve never seen before. Things are really starting to look great for the girls!
