We guarantee you’ve never seen the Custodes quite like this! Check out this jaw-dropping army spotted at 2019’s Las Vegas Open.

The 2019 LVO brought in armies from the far corners of the world to do glorious battle on the tabletop. This army did just that, but with a style like we’ve never seen.

The Custodes teamed up with some Salamanders on this display board that looks to be some kind of old abandoned Chapel courtyard. The old stone and creeping moss really make these armies’ colors pop. Now let’s get a closer look.

We’ve never seen Custodes with a red and white color scheme but it looks absolutely stunning. Their helmets and pads are even converted, making these models look even more bonkers.

We can see a Grey Knights Pauldron on this Shield Captain’s arm, but how about his shield? Can you guess what that bit goes to originally?  Whatever it is, this model looks bad to the bone.

Get a good look at the ground this guy is standing on. It’s an almost seamless transition from base to display board, which goes a long way in the hobby book.

Last but not least for the Custodes, Trajann was spotted standing in his new red and white armor posing like he owns the place. And as long as the Emperor or Robbie G isn’t around, he kind of does…

Looking at the small force supporting the Custodes. the Salamanders brought in a Techmarine and some other goodies.

From the fancy armor coloring on the Custodes to free-handed flames on the Salamanders wargear, this hobbyist really outdid themselves and deserves some recognition. Great job on keeping those hobby muscles strong!
