Early images of new painted Sisters of Battle models, as well as sprues, have been spotted ahead of thier official preview this weekend. Don’t miss this!
We know they are coming. So first off there is a massive chart of rumored GW releases that was spotted recently, and now, we’ve got a first look at the prices of the items ahead. Check out the rumored pricing for the releases hitting store shelves on November 30th.
Nov 29 Product Release Pricing Rumors
Coming from @wagamingdave, it looks like some sort of pricing has been revealed for what’s ahead. Just as much as the products themselves are rumors, so are the prices. However, going off of what some of the more recent GW releases have been, these price points may be surprisingly accurate.
One of the most anticipated releases of 2019 looks to be the Sisters of Battle Army Set. While we’ve already gotten an official word at what’s inside the box, it looks to be weighing in at $210 according to these rumors. Surprisingly, if these rumors are true it looks like this is the only Sisters release we’re seeing for the near future!
People that buy this might be sitting with under a thousand points of new Sisters for a while with no other releases in sight.
New Sisters Preview Images:
These have been collected from various forums and websites like Dakka Dakka, and Miniwars. They may not be the original source.
First off this sprue seems to show multiple figures (including the penitent engine) all on the same sprue akin to something like the Dark Imperium or Shadowspear starter. It does not appear to be separate multipart component sprues inside the army box (at least for these models). While they do not appear to be the push peg style of ETB miniatures (like Warhammer Underworlds etc), they certainly are not normal multi-part kits.
We can probably make two conclusions from this.
- This may explain why the Army box is rumored to be “only” be priced at $210, which includes at codex and data cards, when other sets like Blood of the Phoneix were $230 and contained no supplements or accessories but were multipart component kits.
- It may also explain why no other Sisters models are releasing around the same time (according to rumors). This may have been the fastest path to market for the Sisters Games Workshop could muster in time for the holidays.
Either way, the models look great, and hobbyists will be able to get started this year on their armies! Painted versions of what appear to be the models on this sprue were also spotted.
What do you think of this truly “starter” set of ETB-ish models? Are you ready to get crackin on your Sisters army (hopefully) this holiday season?
