Forge World updated their pre-orders section on their website bringing in a brand new Dark Angels unit to the fold. This unit is on pre-order right now and will ship on February 21st, 2020.

Just remember, right now these Dark Angels are only usable in games of Horus Heresy. However, they’re an awesome base for a dope 40k character/Terminator unit as well.

Dark Angels Legion Inner Circle Knights Cenobium Terminators $98

dark angels knights cenobiumThe Cenobites of the Orders Militant are among the finest warriors of the First Legion, and each bears the most potent secrets and powerful weapons gathered by the Dark Angels over their many long years of battle. The Cenobites of the Inner Circle are called upon when that knowledge is the key by which the Legion might unlock victory in the most terrible of battlefields and most dire of campaigns. It is by the edge of their well-honed blades that the Dark Angels have conquered enemies beyond count.

Clad in the most exquisite Cataphractii Terminator Armour, each Knight carries a unique terranic greatsword and is covered in the iconography of the Dark Angels Legion. These proud warriors are ideal for wherever the fighting is the most brutal, as their armour protects them and their plasma-casters destroy enemy infantry with ease.

Inner Circle Knights Cenobium Rules

dark angels knights cenobium rules 4Rather than having you wait for a new book to release to be able to use these guys, they dropped a free rules PDF for the unit. Coming in at 275 pts for a squad of five, they aren’t cheap. However, they get access to swap out their swords for thunder hammers for free and have a very unique plasma weapon that is on the lower-strength but allows failed hits to be rerolled in overwatch.
Overall, these guys seem solid. The price tag is definitely high at nearly $20 a model. But they do come packed with so much detail that you could use them as a character in 40k if you wanted.
So what are your thoughts on the new unit? Are they looking to be worth their points? How many will you be running?
