GAMA just published a new game store locator to find out what the status is of retailers in your area, so you know how and when you can shop their wares!
GAMA (Game Manufacturer’s Association) has a new tool for both customers and retailers out in these trying times. On top of that, if you’re a store owner, they’ve listed some helpful tips they recommend during social distancing. Plus you can register YOUR store there as well!
New Game Store Locator We Should All Start Using
This is a time of struggle for all members of the gaming community. GAMA would like to share ways patrons can support their FLGS while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
If you’re wondering which stores might be operating in your area, you can go to their FLGS store finder and plug in your zip code. You can also pick your radius ranging from five miles and up to one-hundred miles.
You’ll have a mini-map like the one above ping the stores showing their current status. This is a really handy tool if you might have only known of one store closeby but has since been closed down for the time being.
See a store that’s not popping up? That’s okay because you can also add your FLGS to the list and it’ll auto-populate for people who search the area! You just have to complete a survey.
Please complete this form to be included in a map of FLGS still offering services to customers. The results will be shared online with fans of Origins Game Fair via a newsletter list of over 27,000 active subscribers and the official Origins social media pages.
Tips For Store Owners In These Difficult Times
For store owners, GAMA also has a dedicated page of useful resources and tips to check out in these times we live in.
We’re not going to get into the nitty-gritty here because frankly, there’s a lot. But if you’re a store owner and had some questions on how you should operate and interact with employees, you may want to give this some attention.
On top of that, you can submit your methods to the emails listed under each category for other game store owners to view as well!
At the end of the day, the entire world has been affected by what’s going on. Almost every business has had to shift the way they operate and we’ve all had to shift the way we go about buying things. Kudos to GAMA for providing resources to both the consumer and store owners in the hobbying world to keep everyone informed and connected!
