astraeus allen marshal walHere’s an Astraeus to behold! Check out this Astartes Lord of War that’s had nearly 100 hours of hobby love put in, maybe it’ll inspire you.

Coming from hobbyist Cruorvault on Reddit, with their permission, we’re bringing you an incredible painted Ultramarines Astraeus. Sit back and take it all in because every inch of detail was covered.

A Painted Astraeus To Appreciate: 40k Lord of War

astraeus allen marshal 1After 60+ hours over the last 10 days, I finally finished my Ultramarines Astraeus!

This is a model that’s above the quality we see in GW’s official Space Marine previews. The Astraeus is a big model with a ton of edges. If you look carefully, you’ll see that every sharp edge was given a crisp edge highlight. Not only that, but there are decals everywhere! This is the finished project but these images below are some progress pics of the project while it was being done.

astraeus allen marshal 6To top it all off and staying true to lore fashion, a Techmarine is sticking out of the top hatch of the main turret in red power armor. He’s got the smallest details of all in the model and he’s still received the same amount of love as everything else. Fantastic job!

Do you feel inspired to get your Ultramarines painted up for tabletop quality? Do you also use an Astraeus in your Ultramarines list?
