Even more artwork has been spotted for the upcoming Marneus Calgar Marvel comic. Check out where the story may be heading with these pages!
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen artwork revealed for the Marneus Calgar comic. In fact, the first issue is coming with a colorable Primaris Intercessor cover. We’ve also seen quite a few details mentioned for the comic expecting it to release over a span of five issues. With all of that out of the way, let’s check out more textless artwork that’s been spotted this time.
Even More Marneus Calgar Comic Artwork REVEALED
It looks like Marneus and his bois are called in to shoo away some Cultists that are harassing some kind of tracked foundry/agricultural plant.
The doors open up and it’s at this moment that Marneus forgot his helmet back at base.
So we open up the combat with Marneus Calgar yeeting the top half of a Cultist away from the rest of his body. Seriously if your bullets aren’t killing him why do you think it’s a good idea to run at him.
Anyway, we can also see what a bolter really does to a Cultist body as loads of Intercessors, Chaplains, and Hellblasters pour out of a Thunderhawk.
Finally, this looks like some more potential cover art for an issue further down the line. This is a totally different art style from the previous version (below).
From all of the artwork we’ve seen, it seems like the main antagonist is going to be a bunch of Cultists with Marneus showing up and utterly waffle stomping them into the ground. It’ll be interesting to see if he even finds someone like Abaddon to give him a run for his money.
As of right now, issue one is set to hit stores on October 14, 2020.
