All people from Catachan are tough, but then there’s Stonetooth Harker. It is said the beast that could kill him just hasn’t come into existence yet. His fellow Catachans revere him as something of a demi-god more than just a man and follow him blindly. Because when he is put on a battlefield he will stop at nothing to complete his task. Let’s all get out our best muscle shirts and learn some more!
Reputation
Every man, woman, and child from Catachan is tough! There’s a reason the Imperium constantly calls upon this battle-hardened planet to bolster its forces. If there’s a fight to be had in the jungle, you know who’s coming! When you have to learn to shoot before you can even walk, you know you live in a rough part of the Galaxy. And when basically every single plant and animal is trying to kill you, people get strong quickly. Sergeant Harker takes that level of toughness to an absurd level. While most Catachan Guardsmen are considered hard to kill, for a human, Harker is nearly invincible. His size borders on that of an Ogryn and his toughness has to be some kind of genetic gift.
He is renowned among the Guard as the toughest human that has ever lived. The reputation is well earned as no situation is too dire and he always comes out on top. Stories about his escapades have been blown to fairytale proportions so it’s hard to know how much is true. Some say he even chews on glass instead of tobacco to keep him tough in times of peace. There are rumors he is unaffected by fire and regularly puts his hands deep into flames to prove it. He shrugs off mere gunshot wounds like they never happened and a sword slash has never given him more than a laugh. One thing that is known, he has yet to meet his match.
Duty Above all Things
No one has ever heard Harker complain, ever! He is basically the Chuck Norris of 40k and everyone knows a good joke about him, but would never say it to his face. He loves war and is eager to get to the next fight, seconds after the last one wrapped up. When an impossible task needs to be undertaken, they send in Harker.
He may not be the smartest man around, but when he is given a task he will complete it. Just don’t expect him to outthink his opponents, he prefers to fight his way through any tough spots. If you’re in his company, be ready for a dogfight. It’s hard to say if he loves the Imperium or he just knows it’s the best place where he can constantly get in fights. Either way, his weapon, Payback, and he will make it through any scenario!
