value-charadon-terrain-set-40kEven if you don’t like the Book of Fire, at least the new Charadon Terrain set looks cool, and here’s the value.

We’ve seen a lot of the Battlezone: Mechanicus terrain in the past, and this new set puts a lot of it in one place. It was revealed during Warhammer Fest 2021 and will be released alongside the new Book of Fire.

While the overall release of Charadon was panned quite hard, (check out the article linked above to see the community reaction) this set seemed to make people pretty happy.

However if this is allocated anything like the recent releases, you better be prepared to grab it early. Especially when you consider the terrain sets are often not restocked.

Charadon book of fireWe don’t know the price of it quite yet, but we can still take a look at what everything inside would be worth. With these boxes, GW tries to usually give about 33% off the full price in these boxes, so we’ll take a guess at price, but don’t hold us to it!

New Charadon 40k Terrain Set: What’s the Value?

They put out some bigger boxes with the re-release of 40k Kill Team, but those were quite a scalpers debacle, so let’s hope this release goes off without a hitch. This set looks pretty sweet though and you get a lot of really cool terrain inside, but it will all come down to the final price.

Let’s get into the value!

Charadon terrain

  • Sector Mechanicus Ferratonic Furnace $100 ($50 each)
  • Thermic Plasma Regulators $34
  • Alchomite Stack $50
  • Haemotrope Reactor $49
  • Additional Pipes $15?

Total MSRP: $248

Overall there is some pretty cool terrain in this set, let’s just hope the actual retail price is set correctly. We could easily see this for going right around the $150-$175 mark (based on Vertigus), which would give you about $70-$95 in value, so not too bad.

Will you be picking this up? Do you like the terrain included?
