Star Wars: Legion FAQs, Errata & Rules Changes LATEST

Star-Wars-Legion-Logo-rew-rulesDon’t miss all the new Star Wars: Legion FAQs, Erratas, and rules changes- here are the latest updates and where to download them.

For the first time in a while, we’ve actually seen a ton of new Star Wars releases and we’re excited about it! Let’s start by checking out how to build the new battle forces, then get into all the big errata and free rules downloads!

Star Wars: Legion Battle Force Rules Updates From Atomic Mass Games!

They show how to assemble each force, so let’s check out how you can build each one, starting with the Shadow Collective, coming from AMG.

Shadow collective

Like all battle forces, the Shadow Collective has a slightly different set of rank requirements. However, the Shadow Collective is unique in that mercenary units DO count towards minimum rank requirements–which is good, since the Shadow Collective is full of them! A Shadow Collective battle force must include at least 1 commander and at least 2 corps units. Because the Shadow Collective is made up of tough and well-trained mercenaries like Mandalorians Super Commandos, the maximum number of special forces units allowed is higher than normal at 4. And no force would be complete without several members of the most infamous rogue’s gallery in the galaxy, several of which need no introduction. To reflect this, players may field a maximum of 4 commanders or operatives in their Shadow Collective army.

It’s nice you basically get 4 separate factions, but they count towards your minimum rank requirements, meaning you don’t really need to just throw them in randomly.

Shadow collective 2

The Black Sun are tough, short-ranged fighters who excel at stopping their opposition with volleys of Precise blaster fire. Failing that, their scatter guns and explosives make short work of anyone who dares to defy their enforcers. The Pyke Syndicate prefer fighting from afar, using their agility to dodge even the heaviest of attacks. Should they be unable to Outmaneuver their foes, their acute Danger Sense will keep them safe.

Ultimately, however, the Black Sun and Pykes are in it for the money, valuing their own Self Preservation over their objectives. When these two corps units aren’t enough, it’s time to send in the Mandalorians. These highly trained Super Commandos are ready to Jump into the fray and Defend Maul’s Shadow Collective. Their Beskar armor makes them all but Impervious to enemy attacks, and their host of advanced weaponry provides them with the tools to take on any foe. If your Mandalorian special forces need some support, the Raiders provide vehicular Reinforcements to the Shadow Collective with their gangs of Swoop Bike Riders and A-A5 Speeder Trucks. While they pale in comparison to the heavy armor of more formal militaries, the Shadow Collective’s vehicles are still quite effective and can perform the role of Field Commander if necessary.

All the units inside seem to gell pretty well with each other, and if nothing else, this is just a super fun force to bring to the table. Even if some of them are in it just for the money, they will still love you for painting them, don’t worry.

Shadow collective 3

Should the need arise, Maul, himself can take to the field, forging mere Allies of Convenience into an effective fighting force. With the Darksaber and Juyo Mastery, Maul is more than capable of eliminating whatever stands between him and the throne.

Separatist Invasion Force:

Star Wars rulesWith just the box itself, you can make a pretty impressive force, but you can also take a ton of really cool commanders in this one.

Star Wars rulesThey also have the cards for free which is just super nice, even though you do get them for free in the box too in printed form!

501st Legion Battle Force:

Star Wars rules 2This force is perfect if you want Anakin to pilot your forces and cut through your enemies.

Blizzard Force Battle Force:

Star Wars rules 6Vader makes up a big part of this force, but it also is just super heavy on the Snowtroopers. Which is cool and obviously, you can take some walkers!

Star Wars rules 7They are grabbing a bunch of new cards with plenty of buffs for your troopers!

Star Wars: Legion Shadow Collective Rules Updates

Shadow collectives rulesStarting with how you can build the battle force. Normally you can’t build full mercenary armies, however, this is one of the battle forces that allows you to do that. Plus, they update the loyalties here.

Shadow collectives rules 2You have a decent range of units you can take, and obviously, everything in the box can be used for a single force. It’s fairly normal other than every unit included must be mercenaries. Plus, you only have Black sun Enforces and Syndicate Foot Soldiers for your corps, and you must include at least one of those in your force. Some people are upset about no Fett in the force, but it doesn’t really make sense with the lore, so hey, sorry about that. You can download the whole thing here.

Now, let’s check out all the big changes to the game and where you can download the rules for free.
