Necromunda has been getting a ton of really cool minis lately, and this one follows the trend! This is the second creature-focused set we’ve seen in the past few weeks, and we’re all for it. Having giant insane creatures in your warband is just always fun.
Necromunda Ash Wastes Nomad Herder & Arthromite Duneskuttler Revealed!
Warhammer Community unveiled the new minis along with some rules! Let’s take a closer look.
Unlike the Dustback Helamite cavalry, Duneskuttlers are vicious creatures that hunt for prey by burrowing into the treacherous sands of the Ash Wastes to ambush unwary passers-by.
Both the models are actually really cool, and that bug looks like he can smash through all kinds of gangers!
When they feel vibrations from above, they launch out of the sands in a blur of carapace and claw, dragging their catch down below. Left to their own devices, these vermin are deadly enough, but under the lash of a Nomad Herder, they become insectile shock troops.
With such an armored carapace and giant fangs, this should be hard to kill and deal plenty of damage.
Nomad Herders are experts in the arts of insect husbandry, siccing their chitinous charges on unsuspecting foes with a subtle gesture of their chitinous blade.
This model is super interesting as well and looks quite menacing.
Ash Wastes Nomad Herder & Arthromite Duneskuttler Rules
Duneskuttlers make great hunting companions. Surviving in the deadly Ash Wastes has granted them a keen predatory instinct and a physiology that makes them Hard to Kill.
This tenacity and hardiness, coupled with a Herder’s Arthromite Whisperer skill, means an Ash Wastes Nomad War Party will be able to keep their Duneskuttler pet in the thick of the action for extended periods.
Being able to heal the Duneskuttler makes it even harder to take out, then with Hard to Kill, it should stay fairly healthy!
