New AoS Slaves To Darkness, General’s Handbook & More Pricing CONFIRMED!
Some interesting prices are included in this one, just something to keep an eye on. However, it is nice to see the Slaves to Darkness finally actually get a rework, and the General’s Handbook should really spice up the meta!
General’s Handbook – Pitched Battles 2022-23 Season 2 $50
Galletian Champions take centre stage in the new season of Matched Play with the General’s Handbook – Pitched Battles 2022-23 Season 2. This 96-page spiral-bound book contains a new Battlepack, which focuses on super-charging your unmounted heroes. Alongside a slate of fundamental changes, there are new battleplans, grand strategies, and battle tactics to mix up your games. This is a must-have for anyone who enjoys Matched Play events in Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
New balance changes are always welcome as a way to shake up and refresh the meta.
Battletome: Slaves to Darkness $55
A dark storm coalesces over the Mortal Realms as Battletome: Slaves to Darkness arrives. This tome is 128 pages of Slaves to Darkness goodness,* covering all the lore and rules you need to know to field your own dark legions under the watchful Eye of the Gods.
This battletome** will also be available in a beautiful limited edition version, which features gold gilt page edges, a soft touch cover, and a red ribbon bookmark.
Speaking of rules, Slaves to Darkness players rejoice!
Vanguard: Slaves to Darkness $140 (Price Increase)
Raise a warhost and run roughshod over the Mortal Realms with this Vanguard box, which contains 17 miniatures including a Chaos Lord, 10 iconic Chaos Warriors in full multi-part glory, five Chaos Knights with the new upgrade sprue, and a chariot which can be pulled by horses or a savage gorebeast for line-breaking charges.
Start the faction off strong, or add to an existing force! These Vanguard boxes tend to be a pretty good value for anyone looking to pick up extra minis.
Daemon Prince $80
The grand prize at the end of the Path to Glory is to be transfigured and granted immortality by becoming a Daemon Prince. This kit is a true banquet of options, including a range of heads with one for each of the Chaos Gods, a choice of weapons, and more. It even transcends game systems, with wargear options to use this unholy champion in games of Warhammer 40,000.
Finally available outside of the army box, everyone can finally get their hands on the new Daemon Prince for Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar!
Chaos Lord on Karkadrak $50
With the new Vanguard box replacing the old Start Collecting! box, the Chaos Lord on Karkadrak has been unchained and now roams free, grazing his reptilian beast on the corpses of his slaughtered foes. This bruiser is a solid choice for any Slaves to Darkness list.
This poor guy has been stuck in the start collecting box for a loooooong time, so finally seeing him release separately is a big upgrade.
Eternus, Blade of The First Prince $60
Archaon’s prime shock troops are known as the Varanguard. From this elite cadre his eternal rival Be’lakor has plucked Eternus, and imbued him with the souls of Stormcast Eternals, creating a champion for his own armies. This kit builds Eternus, Blade of the First Prince, or a generic Chaos Lord on Daemonic Mount.
This model is sweet! And with Be’lakor being so good, this model will hopefully do well right beside him.
Exalted Hero of Chaos $35
With the action in Gallet favouring heroes in the new General’s Handbook, daemonic mounts are out, and comfy boots are in. This murderous champion will make an ideal pairing with a unit of Chaos Chosen in a Galletian Command detachment.
As a more basic foot slog leader, this isn’t a bad option (it’s cheaper to field too).
Chaos Chosen $60
Chaos Chosen are elite warriors who love nothing more than using their soul splitter weapons to free their foes from the burden of the mortal coil. They are the hammer, crushing all before them.
With the army box getting separated, Chosen are also in their own kit now!
Chaos Warriors $60
Chaos Warriors are the iconic mortal bruisers of the forces of Chaos. Imbued with dark blessings and clad in hellforged armour, these imposing warriors march to battle with hand weapons or ensorceled halberds, hacking away at foes from behind their hulking runeshields.
This has also been a long time coming, but now the basic Warriors are finally able to be bought on their own with a new musician and standard miniature as well!
Chaos Knights $65
There are fewer sights as terrifying as Chaos Knights thundering across the horizon, lances down, ready to skewer their foes. This standalone release comes with an upgrade sprue including command options to adorn your Knights with appropriately terrifying accessories such as banners, instruments, and champions’ paraphernalia.
As the end of the old start collecting, anyone can pick up the Knights separately, and with more options than the once from that box to boot!
Ogroid Theridons $65
Slaves to Darkness armies feature no shortage of ways to pulverise their opponents, but if you’re looking for a unit with just a little extra oomph, the savage Ogroid Theridons are just the ticket. These hulking brutes tap into their bestial nature to lay their enemies low.
And finally, as the last part of the Army Box, the Theridons are now also available separately for anyone who wants to get them.
Slaves to Darkness Dice Set $40 (Price Increase)
Add the final piece to your dark panoply with this Slave to Darkness Dice Set. Consisting of 20 dice cast in black and white and featuring an eight-pointed star of chaos on the six face, they’re perfect for invoking the gods to bless your warriors with gifts, rather than spawndom.
And as with most updates, you can get this new set of dice to commemorate the release if you need more D6s in your life.
White Dwarf Issue 484 $11
The first instalment of White Dwarf for 2023 is a bumper issue full of Boarding Actions content that sheds new light on this game mode and introduces missions and rules to fight battles on a warp-touched space hulk. There are also plenty of extra rules and articles covering your other favourite Warhammer games in this action packed issue.
As your one-stop shop for Warhammer from GW, these monthly issues give you a look into a little bit of everything in the hobby and are never too expensive!
Garro: Knight of Grey (Limited Edition) $65
James Swallow tells the story of Nathaniel Garro’s final hours during the Horus Heresy in Garro: Knight of Grey. The heroic warrior is drawn into an inevitable confrontation with his father Mortarion. This limited edition is a gorgeous artefact, bound in deep-red faux leather with an inlaid metal emblem, and features the author’s signature plus interior art. It’s limited to 2500 copies.
Garro: Knight of Grey $27
You can also get this story in standard hardback, eBook, or audiobook editions to find out what becomes of the former Knight-Errant in whatever format you prefer.
In both limited and non-limited and multiple formats, this book is worth a shot if you’re at all interested in the story.
Godeater’s Son $27
Not everyone is happy with the rule of Order in the Mortal Realms. Godeater’s Son finds an unlikely hero in Heldanarr Fall, Noah Van Nguyen’s tale of an ordinary person fighting for freedom against the gods. It will be available in hardback, eBook, and audiobook formats.
This new interesting one-off might be for you if you want to see more reasons why the people in AoS might not like Order.
Soulslayer $16
The problem with having a soul that survived the end of the World-that-Was is that it burns so bright as to attract unwanted attention. As Gotrek quests across Chamon with his Fyreslayer kin, the envious eyes of the Idoneth Deepkin regard him with dark intentions as Darius Hink’s Soulslayer comes to audiobook.
Gotrek is a favorite for a ton of fans, so this is a great pickup if that’s you!
Tons of Warhammer Box Sets Going For Super Cheap on eBay
This month on eBay we found some of the best prices on Warhammer 40k we’ve ever seen! If you find something you want from this list, it is probably the cheapest price around by far.
There are a bunch of deals, including Gargants at nearly $70 off, Nachmund at a crazy deal, Eldritch Omens at almost half price, and more! Check it out.
Mega-Gargants
The Gargants are going for $210 right now, which means this is just an insane deal! This is the deepest discount we’ve seen on the box, so if you want to build some Gargants, you really can’t go wrong with this! As of right now, there are a decent number of boxes left, but we assume at this price they are going to go really fast.
Eldritch Omens
At this price, this is just an insane deal! There are six units inside the box and at this price, each is under $20. If you know a friend who would want the other side of the box, you’ll get a ton of minis for only $60 each. This is probably the best price we’ve found for this box so far!
Ash Wastes
This is $100 off the original price, so if you want to get into Necromunda or the Ash Wastes expansion system, this is hard to beat. We did a value breakdown, and the box has about $465 of value inside, so for $200, you can’t go wrong.
Warhammer 40k Terrain
They have two sets available, and both are pretty sweet deals! Octarius is selling for $112 on GW’s site right now, so almost half-price. While Chalnath isn’t quite as good of a deal, still much cheaper than the MSRP! That’s all for this one store, but there are plenty of other deals out there still!
Knight Dominus:
Currently, this bad boy goes for $170 on the Games Workshop site, a savings of nearly $50 or 30% off. Thats a solid deal for a very cool model that can make both versions of Dominus Class Knights.
This multipart plastic kit builds one Knight Castellan, a titanic long range Lords of War choice for your Imperial Knights army – or a wandering Freeblade for other Imperium forces. This super-heavy walker is armed with a blast-unleashing plasma decimator, an armour-melting volcano lance, and an array of carapace-mounted meltaguns, shieldbreaker cannons, and missiles. The Knight Castellan makes a fantastic painting project and centrepiece, and offers a range of poses, face plates, and armour pieces, allowing you to create a truly unique engine of war. This kit can also be assembled as a Knight Valiant, as well as a Knight Tyrant for Chaos Knights.
Kill Team Nachmund:
This box is currently going for about $30 over cost, which is just wild considering how much you get inside, especially the terrain.
Keep in mind there has been a price increase since this released, so there is even more value to be had now.
Black Templars Army Box:
Containing 13 miniatures, 12 of which are available for the first time in this very box, this is the perfect place to start a Black Templars army or build on your existing force. Leading the charge is the stunning new Emperor’s Champion, and ensuring that the correct vows are uttered and devotions followed is a Marshal.
This originally retailed for $199, so if you get it from eBay, you’ll actually save around 50%! Which actually gives you a bunch of great value! If you’ve been looking to start a new army or pump yours up, you can’t really go wrong with this.
Especially considering one Primaris Crusader Squad box goes for $60 alone!
Chalnath Kill Team Box Set:
This went for $170, so while not as big of a discount as the Black Templar box, this is still a pretty sweet deal and can get you into Kill Team on the cheap complete with terrain and two squads!
Dominion Box Set:
There are a bunch of these listings, which makes sense, as these didn’t do so well when they were released in 2021. Still, this is a great deal at about $100-$110 and will get you an insane number of minis for that price! In theory, you get almost $400 in value at this price, so hard to pass up if you want to play either Stormcasts or Kruleboyz!
Into the Dark:
This originally went for $210, so it’s a great deal at this price! Especially considering these are still extremely new minis (and not available on their own at the time of writing this). You’ll still get a lot of minis for fairly cheap, including the new breached models for the Imperial Navy.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters Humble Bundle: 40% OFF
Humble Bundle has another listing available for some solid sci-fi offerings. While we usually cover the Black Library bundles, this game is pretty cool, and you get to slay daemons! What’s not to like about that?
As we said, this will seriously save you some cash, and if you go on Steam, the game will cost you $45. As we said though, this only has a few days left, so don’t miss out!
