If you love the new plastic Adeptus Custodes, don’t miss Forge World’s Legio Custodes Contemptor Achillus that you can build with or without a Dreadnought sized Guardian Spear!

Welcome back hobby fans, today Rob is unboxing the amazing new Legio Custodes Contemptor Achillus Dreadnought from Forge World!  This brand new dreadnought from Forge World represents the best that the Custodes have to offer!

In those isolated cases where the body has been all but irrevocably destroyed but the Custodian’s mind remains intact and their will to survive undimmed, internment within the cold and unyielding body of a Dreadnought is the next step. To this purpose, the few Dreadnoughts of the Legio Custodes are as singularly advanced as their other wargear, outfitted with weapons and systems artificer-made by the servants of the Imperial Court.

At the time of the outbreak of the Horus Heresy, the most widely employed was the Contemptor-Achillus, a general battle unit which combined phenomenal strength and speed with the echoes of the interned Custodes’ own unmatched martial skill.

Instructions

Perhaps the best part is that Games Workshop seemed to hint at the fact that the Legio Custodes models from their 30k Horus Heresy would be getting rules in 40k now, alongside their plastic cousins and their new offerings in 8th Edition.

Finally, if you’ve already got a sizeable collection of  Forge World Legio Custodes, rules are on their way for you to use your favourite units in Warhammer 40,000, in addition to the huge range of new plastic kits.

Back to the review, like all the Legio Custodes Dreadnoughts this one comes with a massive selection of hands and feet enabling a huge variety of poses.

Parts

The rules for this bad boy are really awesome, featuring a killer stat line and some amazing new weaponry from the vaults of Terra itself, this dreadnought is ready to defend the Emperor beyond death!

Rules

The Legio Custodes Contemptor Achillus Dreadnought can be purchased from the Forgeworld website for £56.

Check out the whole unboxing video below for a closer look at all the amazing rules this beast brings to the game!
