Today we’re going to be taking a look at the top 5 Forge World kits to bring your new Daemon army up to the next level. Come check them out.

With the Chaos Daemons codex on the way we wanted to go over our top 5 choices (in no particular order) for Forge World minis that are still playable in normal sized games. Let’s jump right in!

Nurgle Chaos Space Marine Sorcerer £15

NurgleChaosSpaceMarineSorcerer01

Though this model is not a Daemon unit himself he is a perfect addition to and Nurgle/Death Guard army with Poxwalkers. He has Master of the Dead that allows Poxwalkers within 6″ of him to re-roll failed Disgustingly Resilient rolls of 1. This is going to help keep those little guys alive a little bit longer, and possible let hit your opponent back with a couple extra units than you would’ve had.

Chaos Decimator Daemon Engine £41

CHAOSDECIMATORDAEMONENGINE1a

The Chaos Decimator has the  Daemon Engine keyword, and this guy is almost a must have in any Daemon army right now. If you equip it’s with two melee weapons it gains a +1 attack, and with a 10″ move, and 8 wounds, it shouldn’t be hard to get in close fast. But if melee isn’t your style you also get access to butcher cannons that have are Heavy 4, 36″ range, Strength 8, AP -1, does 2 Damage, and if any model is slain by it the whole unit must subtract 2 from its Leadership the rest of the turn.

Everyone seems to run him with Soulburner Petards however, that do Mortal wounds for each hit rolled. SPICY!

Greater Brass Scorpion £160

Not only does this model look amazing, but it’s also a great addition for your Khorne Daemon army. This model get a 3D6 Charge, 5+ Invulnerable, 20 Wounds, 3+ save, Strength 10, and start off with 8 Attacks. That 3D6 charge is going to come in extremely useful to help you get in close so you can use the Hellcrusher Claws which are Strength +4, AP -4, and Damage 6. Throwing 8 of those, with a 3+ WS, will definitely drop your opponents models faster than you think.

Kytan Daemon Engine of Khorne

Kytan01

Kytan has a whopping 22 Wounds! This Daemon Engine of Khorne is sure to make the blood god happy starting off with Strength 10, Attack 5, and a 12″ Movement. As if Strength 10 just wasn’t enough, the Smash option on the Great Cleaver of Khorne has a profile of Strength x2, AP -4, and Damage 6… Ouch!

Plague Hulk of Nurgle

Plague Hulk

Though we were not able to find it on the Forge World website currently, the Plague Hulk of Nurgle is a perfect addition to your Nurgle Daemons army. With Strength/Toughness 8, 14 Wounds, 3+ Save, and a 5+ Invulnerable, this is going to be a hard model to take down. That’s going to give him plenty of time to sit back and fire away with his rot cannon. The rot cannon has a 36″ range, Heavy D6, Strength 6, Ap -3, Damage 2, and you re-roll failed wound rolls for this weapon if you’re attacking Infantry units. But if you were to get in close the iron claw attack is Strength x2, AP -3, and does D6 damage.

These are all great options for your new Daemon army, and there’s a lot more to be seen over at Forge World. Make sure you head over and give it a look.
