Tons of rumors and confirmations are here today for the models that may be coming in the new Warhammer 40k Blackstone Fortress  game and a potential release date.

Games Workshop previewed a brand new model coming along with Blackstone Fortress and it’s the Rogue Trader Janus Draik himself. Make sure you take a look at everything we know about Blackstone Fortress so far as we get to the bottom of the latest rumors and possible release date as well

Rumors Leading up to the Preview

Just before Warhammer Community previewed the game, it looked like some people caught wind of it and posted about it on Social Media.

The rumor mill says there is going to be some sort of “Heroquest” like 40K game being announced this year at The Nova Open. Any thoughts or input wargamers? I honestly, if this is in fact true wish they would space out these skirmish game releases a lot more…. Basically like Warhammer Quest, but in the 40K universe

Could this “rumor” be the 40k version of the Silver Tower board game centered around AoS?

Both of the games are under the “Warhammer Quest” title after all.

What we Know so Far

This is what was said in the Q&A’s at the GW Fall Preview revolving around Blackstone Fortress:

Warhammer quest: Blackstone fortress
First 40k Warhammer quest game

Blackstone fortress has 3 chaos marines in it

A Rogue Trader was talking in the Blackstone fortress video

3 new CSM models in Black Stone fortress box.  “Probably 7 more new models to make a new CSM boxed kit”.

Blackstone fortress loosely connected to a world as speed freeks and tooth and claw

Speed Freeks and Forgebane and Tooth and Claw all take place on the same planet.  Loosely connected to the story for Blackstone Fortress.

Our Thoughts on What’s to Come

Of course, all of the keywords in the pic are <REDACTED>, but it sounds like there’s a Rogue Trader out in the universe that’s going to check the truthfulness behind some rumors. Now, looking at the architecture of the “Fortress?” from the previews, it looks like a Pyramid, just like the bottom of that teaser image above.

Janus Draik Revealed

The Rogue Trader, Janus Draik, looks to be the main character out of the game. He’s been quoted from the preview earlier talking about a <Redacted>. He’s also talking in the latest video from Games Workshop.

Janus is talking in the video about an area of space full of adventurers that’s called Precipice.

The video is essentially him looking for a group brave (or stupid) enough to follow him into the Blackstone Fortress.

Chapter Master Valak has indicated that one of the potential Chaos Space Marines will be none other than Abaddon himself.

Take it with Salt, a GW Store Member contacted me and said, that they will be showing off the new Abbadon model.

Regarding the release date, Valak also mentions the 3rd or 10th of November as well.

I don’t want to go into too much detail in case this guy is right and he gets sacked or anything, he said, 3rd or the 10th of November.

We’ll see how true it is soon enough!

More models may also be a Kroot and the Eldar Ranger spotted above as well, for the “Imperials”.

I think we’ll get a Kroot and an Eldar Ranger.

Here in the States at least, GW’s Warhammer Stores already know of November 10th as being a day of importance, plus traditionally we have seen the big holiday box set release come out around the same time as well each November starting with 2015’s Betrayal at Calth.

What do you think about the previews so far? Do you think Janus Draik will be a model in tabletop 40k? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
