sisters of battle army boxDon’t miss the first shots of the new Warhammer 40k Sisters of Battle army box contents that are coming to store shelves in the near future.

If you’re dying to know what may be coming in the new Sisters of Battle 40k army box for this holiday season, you’ll definitely want to see this!

Sisters of Battle are almost here to hit the scene in November 2019 with an army box set. GW has already given us an early look at what will becoming inside.

We know that an army codex, as well as 25 miniatures, will be found inside, and now we know what some of the contents will be!

What Could Be Coming in the Sisters of Battle Box?

Sisters of battle army set

We know we’ll be getting a codex and 25 miniatures. The goal of this army set may be more than likely to give hobbyists a taste of the most units across the board that are available to the army. Going off what we’ve seen with box sets in the past, here’s an idea on what we could see as well as the possible price of the kit!

Keep in mind we already knew a few things from GW:

After waiting for so long, you all deserved something very special, and that’s what this Sisters of Battle Army Set delivers. This packed box kicks off your Adepta Sororitas force in style. Including a swathe of stunning new plastic models and their codex, this one is dedicated to you die-hard Sisters of Battle fans as a reward for your unwavering faith.

and that the Cannoness will be in there as well:

How Big Is The Preview Sister of Battle Canoness? 40k Unboxing & Build

As a special thank you to the dedicated fans who made it to the NOVA Open Warhammer Preview in person, we gave every single member of the audience their very own plastic Canoness. Turns out, attending our Warhammer Preview shows can be pretty sweet. And don’t worry if you weren’t there this time – this Canoness is found in the Sisters of Battle army set!

Basic Sisters Squads

New Plastic Adepta Soroitas Sisters of Battle

In every box set we’ve seen from the past, there are always some Troops. GW knows that they’re the basic building blocks of any real list. And with these girls being T3 and one wound, we could be seeing 10 minis of these girls. We’ve already got a rough price point on where GW may be situating these Sisters from an announcement they made earlier on.

New Canoness Model

New Plastic Adepta Soroitas Sisters of Battle

First seen in the video from above, the Canoness model was also given out as an exclusive at NOVA. This girl was found under the seat of every person that was lucky enough to make it to the in-house preview. Plus according to GW, she will be in this set as well.

Lately, it seems like every named/Primairs character coming in a clam pack ranges from $35-$40. While Sisters look to be scaled up, we may be seeing her value be about the same as well.

Seraphim

New Plastic Adepta Soroitas Sisters of Battle

Being previewed in the video as well, they look to have five different model builds. However, the older Seraphim squads are sold as a squad of 10 on GW’s site for right now. All in all, these girls can be taken in a minimum squad of five as of right now. We could be seeing a group of three in the army set, as well as being sold as an individual kit of five models later on for around $50.

Sisters of Battle Repentia

New Plastic Adepta Soroitas Sisters of Battle repential

The Sisters Repentia are a less-popular unit from the Sisters of Battle army that don’t appear on the tabletop too often. However, now that we’ve seen a complete model rework, we might be seeing them make the cut for the box as well. The minimum squad you can bring them in right now is a squad of three.

The Repentia will more than likely come in more than a minimum squad for the Box Set. Being an Elites choice for the army, they’ll probably be coming in a box of at least five later sit around the $50 price point.

Penitent Engines

As for the norm of GW box sets, they usually also include some kind of light vehicle. We saw the Space Wolves get a Redemptor Dread in the Tooth and Claw box set as well as the Mechanicum getting two Armigers in Armourbane, for example. With the new Invictor Tactical Warsuit out costing $60, we may see a Penitent Engine thrown in the set and be sold individually for around $60 as well.

Other Characters

From the video preview, it is also possible that we’ll see the following characters sold separately and could slot into the 25 model army box quite nicely.

sisters repentia

  • Mistress of Repentia $30
  • Sisters Imagnifier $30

We put them at what appears to be the new 2019 price of $30 for a character model.

Sisters Vehicles

There is a possibility that the 25th model in the box will be one that was not previewed at NoVA as the after-hours Q&A had noted. Leading frontrunners could be just a Rhino, or perhaps the new Immorlator or even an Exorcist tank.

For this breakdown, we’ll just go with the basic Rhino model which currently is $45 for Space Marines.

The Army Set Value?

Adding up all of the best guesses for the new minis:

  • 10x Battle Sisters $60
  • 1x Canoness $35
  • 5x Seraphim  $35
  • 5x Sisters Repentia $50
  • 1x Penitent Engine  $60
  • Mistress of Repentia $30
  • Imaginifier $30
  • Sisters Rhino $45
  • Codex Sisters of Battle $40

These all total to be 25 models.

While nothing is confirmed on the prices or what’s coming inside explicitly, this is just a decent shot in the dark. As for the army set value, we know that the Sisters models are the only thing coming inside along with a codex (probably being valued at $40).

Total MSRP: $385

Army Set Retail Price: $249

New Plastic Adepta Soroitas Sisters of Battle

We say $249, and that does seem high for a bundle price.  As a matter of fact, the highest box set price so far of any bundle was $199 (Knight Renegade) which came with around $340 retail in terrain and models.

The fact the rules will be included inside, as well as, coming out “early” ahead of the full Sisters release, this Army box may have no problem selling out at this price regardless.

Sisters of Battle Army Box Contents Spotted

Images exploded all over the internet of shots from the inside of the box, presumably from the Asian market sales channel:

From the quantities here they do not look to match up with the rumored contents above, apparently, something maybe a squad of 3, and 4 respectively…sisters of battle army box

You can almost make out something under the Seraphim on the right that looks to be Arco Flagellants

Preview Cannoness from the NoVA Open

The sprue on the top right seems to show what could be Arco Flagellants, along with Repentias in the bottom left, as well as Seraphim abound.

So revising the originally rumored contents a bit we could make the argument that the contents will be as follows based on the quantities shown in the top image (which appears, curiously, to be in Chinese).

  • 10x Battle Sisters
  • 1x Canoness
  • 5x Seraphim
  • 4x Sisters Repentia
  • 1x Penitent Engine
  • Mistress of Repentia
  • 3x Arco Flagellants
  • Codex Sisters of Battle

While we’re still waiting on a confirmed look at what’s coming inside of the army set as well as its true price. With a leak like this expect GW to whip up an official preview in 3,2,1…

What do you think will come inside the box? What’s your favorite new sculpt?
