Sure, we know how much the Idomitus box will be, and what’s inside, and the approximate values in GW money, here’s the latest straight from GW now!

More 9th Edition Primaris 40k Indomitus Rules CONFIRMED!

Indomitus box armiesAlong with the face-off we got official pics of stats sheets of the participants. With that in mind lets take a look at the Space Marines side.

Assault Intercessor Squad

Assault Intercessor Squad statThe Assault Intercessors look like an answered prayer to assault armies like Blood Angels and White Scars. Each model in the unit has a chainsword at -1ap which is great, but the fact that these guys are a Troops choice makes them extra appealing. By turn three, White Scars Assault Intercessors will be swinging for two damage a pop while the BA version will be getting an additional attack at +1 to wound.

Outrider Squad

Outrider Squad StatsUp next, there are the Outriders which in essence, are just S4 -1AP damage batteries. These guys are fast at a max of 20″ per movement phase. However, if you choose not to advance and want to charge, you’ll be getting +2 Attacks to each model. On a regular Outrider model, that’ll be six attacks at S4 -1Ap 1 Damage.

Bladeguard Veteran Squad

Bladeguard Veterans statsLooking at the Bladeguard Veterans, these guys are coming with storm shields and power swords to get down and dirty in close combat. Take a look at the change to the storm shield rules. Instead of a 3++ invuln, it’s +1 Armor Save and a 4++ invuln.

Win The Catachan Colonel: Enter Now

Indomitus Bladeguard Ancient & Eradicators

Bladeguard Ancient statsThe Bladeguard Ancient is a new type of banner-bearer with an updated Banner rule. You still roll a 4+ after a model dies to see if they fight. However, you only do it AFTER the enemy is done attacking that unit within the banner’s range. That way, there’s no interruption in the shooting/fight phase to let a dude roll a 4+, creating weird math subtracting attacks from the opponent’s unit because the guy that attacked out of sequence killed a dude…You see how convoluted that could get.

In addition, the Bladeguard Ancient will REALLY be a nice bonus to the Bladeguard Veterans.

Primaris Captain

Primaris Captain statsThis Captain is probably going to be a big hit. His biggest weakness is the lack of mobility. However, with a couple of these guys in your ranks, you’ll have a solid speedbump unit that your opponents will be forced to dedicate resources to. He’s only T4 but with the newly redesigned shield rules, he’ll have a 2+/4++ FNP vs. Mortal Wounds and a 4+ Inv from the Iron Halo. Plus, with six attacks going into the first round of combat, he’s capable of soloing a whole unit of Intercessors by himself.

Judiciar

Judiciar statsOn the Judiciar, we can see the updated Absolver Bolt Pistol profile once again. As a quick synopsis for this guy, he looks like the Loyalist equivalent to the Master of Executions. All of his rules are centered around doing damage in combat, getting a better Save in combat, and picking out an enemy unit forcing them to fight last.

He’s a solid dude to seed into your force although once again, his big weakness is mobility.

GW Reveals New 9th Edition Necron 40k Indomitus Box Rules!

Indomitus Necron Warriors & Royal WardenAlong with the face-off we got official pics of stats sheets of the participants. With that in mind lets take a look at the Necrons side.

Necron Warriors

Necron warrior statWarriors have the same basic statline as before but are coming equipped with a new weapon. The new Gauss Reaper is only 14″ max range, however, at S5 and -2 AP, if you’re running a fast melee list, these dudes will be a great supporting fire option to keep closeby.

Their Number is Legion lets them reroll 1’s for reanimation protocols as well. Pairing Warriors with the Canoptek Reanimator, you could be getting more models back from the dead than ever before.

Canoptek Scarab Swarms

Scarab swarm statScarabs are still super fast and can have up to six models in a unit. Getting 4 Attacks apiece, you’ll be fishing for 6’s to hit as they auto-wound no matter the toughness.

Skorpekh Destroyers

Skorpekh destroyers statsSkorpekh Destroyers are going to be the Necron hotness in the days ahead. The leader of the unit is coming with the Hyperphase Reap-blade that’ll be a S7 3-damage wrecker. The other models in the unit will come with the slightly weaker Hyperphase Threshers, however, you do get an additional attack with the weapon. Overall, all their wargear is multi-damage which is fantastic.

You can take a Plasmacyte, who will inject its Necron goods into the plating of the Destroyers unit giving them +1 Strength and Attack.

In total, one unit of three could have up to 8 multi-damage attacks at S9/S6 while rolling 1’s to hit by themselves. Plus, with an 8″ movement, these dudes will be deceptively quick on the battlefield.

Overlord

overlord statsOverlords now come with a standard-issue Tachyon arrow, which is a once per game S12 shot that is perfect for punching through armor. Even a list with three Overlords can take down something like a Leman Russ in the shooting phase. Plus, with 120″ range, they are relevant anywhere on the battlefield.

Another thing to note is that My Will Be Done is a 9″ aura and only adds 1 to the hit roll either in shooting or melee. You have to declare this ability in your Command Phase and this lasts until the start of your next Command Phase.

Relentless March is a new rule that is the second half of the old My Will Be Done rule. However, it’s only a 6″ aura.

Skorpekh Lord

Skorpekh Lord statsThe Skorpekh Lord is the character version of the Skorpekh Destroyers. Looking at his statline, he is one chunky boy you do not want to stumble across. Even though he’s one thick lad, you still can’t target him under normal conditions because he’s not been put over that 10-wound hump (if that is even a thing anymore). That means he can be a nearly-untargetable T6 wrecking ball that can comfortably move right up to your front line.

As for his weapons, the Enmitic Annihilator leaves something to be desired. The Hyperphase Harvester is definitely the better weapons for killing Primaris or chipping wounds off of armor as it’s basically a thunder hammer profile with an extra AP. Meanwhile, the Flensing Claw is designed to help keep this guy from getting bogged down by fearless screens.

He’s coming with a 4++ invuln and a reroll 1 rule (for himself only). But for his Destroyer keyword friends closeby, he’ll be acting as a Lieutenant.

Which of the face-off units are you most excited about? Are you more excited about other units previewed? Or are you just waiting for your army’s chance to shine in the 9th edition?
