GW confirmed four new models for both Necrons and Space Marines that are on the way after the big 9th Edition 40k release!
The next big online 40k GW Preview for the new 9th Edition box set landed this weekend! The Indomitus models faced off and more reveals landed on Warhammer TV and Warhammer Community!
Sure, we know how much the Idomitus box will be, and what’s inside, and the approximate values in GW money, here’s the latest straight from GW now! During the Preview event, we got a look at some more of the 9th edition lineup of releases, including two new Marine models and two new Necrons!
First up we got a new Tech Marine!
Primaris Techmarine
Your prayers to the Omnissiah have been answered! One of the most requested units for Space Marines, the Primaris Techmarine is on his way to repair your tanks and tear your foes limb from limb!
With the signature axe and backpack, there’s no mistaking this character on the field. Not to mention the awesome “Doc Ock” arms that they each come with as well.
There was also a detail shot on the arm. The new power claw is looking great too. It’s mimicking his arm making it feel more in line with a continuous model instead of just a Marine and a special backpack.
Ultimately the new Techmarine is looking sweet and is a welcome addition to the primaris line. It will also most likely pair very well with all the new vehicles (mainly bikes) coming in 9th for Space Marines!
Speaking of bikes…
Win The Catachan Colonel: Enter Now
Primaris Chaplain on Bike
With all the fiery zeal of their foot-slogging counterparts, these warriors exhort nearby battle-brothers to heightened acts of valour and martial prowess. And they look great doing it.
The new Pramaris Chaplain on a Bike is zooming in to view alongside his other Primaris Bike Brethren.
The books on the front chained down to add a surprising amount of character to the model as well. As if a Skull-headed, skeletal mace wielding maniac wasn’t enough!
Chaplains bring the pain and apparently the looks too, as this model looks great. So much more than just another marine on a bike.
Both of these models and more are on the way for 9th edition 40k. Be sure to stay tuned in the following weeks as we hear more about these models and then some!
Necron Silent King & Void Dragon REVEALED!
Both of the new Necrons were seen in some “leaked” images a while back, so this is just an official confirmation with new pictures! It looks like this is starting to round out the Necron new release cycle for 2020 as we have seen these two models before. Plus, two of their bigger releases were included on the other half of this image:
First up let’s cover the big baddie…
Szarekh, The Silent King
This absolutely stunning diorama-like model captures the iron-willed authority, grandeur and power befitting such an important hero.
Other than the stunning model, we do see that the two pillars are actually on separate bases, so prepare for some unique and interesting rules!
Also, the king model himself is huge- look how tall he is. We would not be surprised if he was as tall as the new Skorpeh Destroyers. There also appears to be multiple models on the machine. Three Necrons total, most likely two servants and the Silent King himeself. Since Szarekh doesn’t speak these are likely the voice of the Silent King, as GW alluded to. The Triarch to rule them all, so to speak…
Every Necron collector will want Szarekh, the last of the Silent Kings, to lead their deathless legions to battle. You won’t have much longer to wait.
C’tan Shard of the Void Dragon
This techno-monstrosity is a shard from the most formidable of the already cosmically powerful C’tan, the Void Dragon. We’ll be learning more about what it can do with all of that green lightning in the near future, so stay tuned.
The lightning looks to be important to the model, perhaps it will serve as some weapon or ability. It is definitely helping it float at the very least.
This model also appears to be massive. Just by the looks of it, this might be a demon primarch-sized model. So hopefully it packs a similar punch.
Are you excited about these new models? Are you hoping to see more Space Marines and Necrons or are you satisfied?
