The long-awaited new edition is finally upon us! The new edition seems to have streamlined the process, overhauled the rules based on player feedback, and added flexibility. It’s always awesome to see companies take player input into account when making the rules! We’ll have to see how it all changes the game, but it seems like for the better.

As with all the editions of Infinity, you can get the core rules for free! They also have made scalable games (code one), so if your new, you can learn the rules in parts. Instead of going against veteran players and getting hit with some gotcha moments. You can start easier games and build up! Here’s some more from them about it:
Infinity is a unique wargame that simulates skirmishes in a science fiction universe with a manga aesthetic. It has a spectacular background that has something for everyone.
Let’s look at some of the major changes:
- Removal of repetition and rule interactions.
- Overhaul of the rules-based on player feedback.
- Rules are provided to make the playing space scalable to different formats – allowing for smaller and faster games.
- The maximum number of troops in play will be 15 in standard games.
- Update of all of the troops and profiles.
- Flexibility in skills and equipment.
