Just like Curse City, Pain and Piety, and so many before them, it looks like the Forge World Death Korps of Krieg sold out for good?
Let’s hope this is a graphic issue and we see them back at some point…
We’ve talked before about how confusing the sold-out graphics from GW can be because sometimes they seem to just put a random graphic label on items, and it makes no sense.
Let’s hope this is another one of those issues and not just the minis gone forever. There was no last chance to buy, no notice that they are being discontinued, or anything. Considering some of the minis that say no longer available are still on the Forge World home page, it would be strange for them to be gone forever.
So Death Korps of Krieg Are Sold Out Forever Now
So first up we have Pain and Piety after it sold out the first week on pre-order, and is now no longer available (or even listed on GW’s webstore for sale).
Now it looks like the majority of the DKoK line is “no longer available” as well, which for such a popular line that just got rules in the Imperial Armor book from Forge World seems a little discouraging.
Not everything in the line says no longer available, but basically, all the core choices have that graphic.
You have to admit that is a serious amount of core units saying no longer available. When you compare that to the graphics on the top left, that just say temporarily out of stock, that doesn’t bode well. If you take this at face value, it means you will no longer be able to buy them.
But, this could easily be a few other things at play here. One, they just put the wrong graphics up. Two, they could be revamping the line, maybe the mystery box for Friday on Warhammer Fest. Third, they may just not want to make them anymore and this is it. Fourth, COVID has just messed with distribution so much they have to take them down for a while.
It’s just strange they gave no last chance to buy or any notice if these are really gone.
What’s Left
The items that are left seem like things that don’t sell very well. Still, if you want anything for your Krieg army, might be worth jumping on now. Who knows when the temporarily out-of-stock items will come back, but hopefully soon.
This could all just be COVID messing things up still and we’ll see them return. But at this point, it would just be so strange with the cleansing of the FW line, and Krieg making it through, then discontinuing the line.
Will we ever see them again? We hope so.
