Here’s a great start to a dream casting for the Horus Heresy movie if Games Workshop ever made it- which is your favorite?
We’ve looked at this a couple of times, but with the new edition of Horus Heresy upon us, it seems like a good time to see who would cast! We recently looked at what a Wes Anderson-style Horus Heresy movie would look like, and it was pretty funny!
However, today, we’re going to take a little more serious approach to the whole thing. We need to dream of a real movie because it would be so awesome now that Henry Cavill isn’t going to play Superman after all!
That being said, no license for Horus Heresy has been obtained yet by Amazon, just Warhammer 40k so far…
Dream Casting For the Horus Heresy Movie!

- Emperor – Henry Cavill
- Malcador – Christoph Waltz
Who could really play the Emperor of Mankind now other than Henry Cavill? The only issue with this is that he might not get enough lines depending on the movie’s timeframe.
- Lion El’Johnson – Michael Fassbender
- Fulgrim – Sam Heughan
- Perturabo – Fahim Fazli
- Jagathai Khan – Uli Latukefu
- Leman Russ – Til Schweiger
He could be a really cool choice if you gave him a big beard and some wild hair; he would be great! Especially after his role in Inglourious Basterds.
- Rogal Dorn – Stephen Lang
He always does a good job as the fanatical military guy in movies, and who would be more intense about his job than Dorn?
- Konrad Curze – Tyler Hoechlin
- Sanguinius – Alexander Skarsgård
- Ferrus Manus – Josh Brolin
- Angron – Jon Bernthal
- Roboute – Scott Eastwood
- Mortarion – Javier Barden
He could easily pull off the role, and even though we might not have thought about him initially when you do, it totally makes sense!
- Magnus – Lee Pace
- Horus Lupercal – Dwayne Johnson
- Lorgar – Mark Stronk
- Vulkan – Mike Colter
He would make for a great Vulkan, and he has the action chops with titles like Luke Cage!
- Corvus Corax – Sebastian Stan
His work as Bucky Barnes really sets him up perfectly for this one! He wouldn’t really even need a different haircut/wig to play Corvus.
- Alpharius/Omegon – Luke Goss
We’ll just keep praying to Big E that a Horus Heresy Movie actually happens.
