Here’s what scored the top spot as our new homebrew Warhammer 40k army list from the 2023 Riverside Classic GT presented by Xenos Petting Zoo.
Check out this excellent homebrew list that emerged in a tournament over the weekend that shows that sometimes it’s more about the general’s skill than what you play.

The Riverside Classic GT: Evan Berry – Black Templars 7th Place
Evan’s Black Templars do what the faction does best, melee! Starting with Grimaldus and Heblrecht for great support abilities and solo models. Plus there is also a Primaris Lt for one more re-roll source.
Troops saw 5 Intercessors, 5 Incursors, and a 14-man crusader squad for a good mix of durable bodies and cheap ones to soak wounds.
Elites then start off with five Bladeguard for some iconic melee threats.
There are also two Redemptors, a Brutalis dread for more armored durable threats, and finally 10 Sword Brethren for even more great melee options.
Then the list wraps on some Eradicators for dedicated ranged anti-armor shots followed by an Impulsor for some volume of shots and to transport a few of the infantry!
