GW has dropped the ball once again for a 40k product release as the new Dark Angels Deathwing Assault box art differs from what it contains.
It seems like GW is having a hard time keeping their ducks in a row lately, as they’ve had a lot of stock issues, delays, and now, the ‘wrong’ components in a new box set release. That being said, if you’re getting the Deathwing Assault box, it’s good to know what’s coming inside, as there were errors with the release images.
Errors Strike New Dark Angels Release
If you had a quick anxiety attack that you won’t be getting the right minis, you can take breathe easy. It’s just some of the accessories inside that are wrong. However, may not be a good look for a company that continues to struggle with core business operations. Let’s check out the statement from Games Workshop about the Deathwing Assault Dank Angels Army Set:
Dark Angels Army Set – Transfer Sheet Update
We wanted to let you know that the transfer sheet contained in the Dark Angels Army Set is different from the one shown on the back of the box.
This was a printing error with the box which shows the existing version of the transfer sheet.
The transfer sheet inside the box is a new one including transfers for Dark Angel Terminators contained in the box.
This is the transfer sheet they showed on all the art. However, it looks like you’ll be getting a new one in the box more geared towards the miniatures themselves. This is the second time GW got the release images wrong (Legions Imperialis) for a big launch product recently, but they caught it before the items shipped to consumers. Either way, now you’ll be getting a different transfer sheet that includes icons for Terminators, so it’s a great value add to the box!
