GW just dropped four fresh Age of Sigmar teasers confirming Nurgle, Fyreslayers, Ogors, and Skaven. See what’s next for armies, models, and the future of Warhammer AoS.
Games Workshop just dropped a cryptic new teaser for Age of Sigmar, and it’s got the people buzzing. Four cropped model shots, each one hinting at a major faction, landed right after a wave of juicy AoS rumors.
Timing like that isn’t an accident. Let’s break down what’s in the teaser, what the rumors have been saying, and how the two line up.
The Big Picture: Rumors Meet Reality
It’ll keep getting bigger. The future of the game is bright – and there’s more to come for every existing faction, plus one or two bigger developments on the way. We blasted the Rumour Engine with a great gout of light from Azyr, and this is what it scried.
Only Krethusa the Croneseer could tell you what these are – but know this: there’s one for each Grand Alliance, and they’re coming soon.
Recent Age of Sigmar rumors pointed to new kits for Maggotkin of Nurgle, Fyreslayers, Ogors, and Skaven. Lo and behold, GW’s teaser shows a Nurgle shield, a dwarf with bright orange hair, a familiar Ogor gut plate, and a cloaked figure clutching a potion.
These hints match up almost too neatly with the whispers we’ve been hearing. Coincidence? Probably not. Let’s tackle each quadrant of the teaser one at a time.
Maggotkin of Nurgle: Putrid Blightkings Reborn?
Top left: a grimy, pitted shield coated in disease and decay. That’s pure Maggotkin. Rumors have been swirling that Putrid Blightkings are due for a new kit. Supposedly, these new models are going to be more heavily armored than before, a true frontline anchor dripping with Nurgle’s blessings.
The teaser image fits perfectly, a pox-ridden plate and a hulking silhouette that looks more like a walking infection than a man. Blightkings have always been fan favorites, and if they’re getting a modern refresh, it could mean a full push for Maggotkin sooner rather than later.
Fyreslayers: Dwarves Back in the Spotlight
Top right: unmistakable (or so we think) Fyreslayers. That shock of orange hair, the bare legs, and the no-nonsense posing scream fiery duardin. The rumors weren’t clear on whether new dwarf kits would go to the Fyreslayers or their skyfaring cousins in the Kharadron Overlords.
This teaser seems to answer the question. Fyreslayers look to be getting love, and about time too. Whether it’s a new infantry kit or a centerpiece hero, fresh Fyreslayer models could bring new life (and more fire) to their armies.
Ogor Mawtribes: Big Rumors, Bigger Models
Bottom left: a round gut plate that could only belong to an Ogor. The rumors here are massive, fitting for the faction. The list includes:
- A unique Tyrant tied to Globb Glittermaw
- A reimagined Butcher centerpiece, more like a living war machine
- A unique Maneater leading female Maneaters, possibly Warmaster material
- Redone Hunters, Mournfangs, Butchers, Tyrant, Gluttons, and Ironguts
That’s practically an overhaul. The teaser doesn’t say which of these is coming, but it’s undeniable proof that Ogors are in the queue. With so many possibilities on the rumor list, this gut plate shot could be the start of something huge.
Ossiarch Bonereapers: Sneaky Scary Armored Apothecary?
The bottom right is last up, and it’s certainly the hardest! Initially, we thought it was Skaven, but actually, Death makes the most sense that way; there’s one “rumor engine” for each Grand Alliance!
The Ossiarch Bonereapers have some really insane and unique designs. The wispy-spirit-like magic from the engine is right at home, while the black armored arms match decently well with the Ossiarch style, perhaps just painted black! The tattered robes, along with the seemingly black bones, make for a super unique miniature.
Perhaps the Ossiarch Bonereapers are getting a new assassin-like character with an “unholy” hand grenade?
Final Thoughts From Us On New AoS Rumor Engines
This teaser confirms what many suspected: multiple factions are about to get big updates, and they’re all lining up with the strongest rumors. Nurgle, Fyreslayers, Ogors, and Skaven each have strong player bases waiting for new models, and the hints suggest GW’s about to deliver across the board.
For players building or expanding armies, now’s the time to start thinking ahead, because these factions might be at the center of AoS releases soon.
