1st Place: Josh Roberts, Space Marines (Ultramarines) Army Lists

The Codex-compliant came, saw, and absolutely steamrolled the Goonhammer Open UK this September. That’s right, Ultramarines took the top spot, and no, it wasn’t just Guilliman walking around like it’s the Great Crusade again.

Roboute Guilliman led the charge with The Emperor’s Sword in one hand and the Hand of Dominion in the other. Swinging both like a demigod that’s tired of watching his sons mess everything up. Marneus Calgar backed him up, flanked by his Victrix Honour Guard who, let’s be honest, just exist to jump in front of bullets while looking stylish.

Uriel Ventris made a rare appearance, and to round out the command suite, there was a Lieutenant with combi-weapon and paired blades.

The list packed serious fire support with two Ballistus Dreadnoughts, throwing lascannons and missiles like party favors.

Then came the Company Heroes, a little bit of everything in one datasheet, complete with an Ancient, a Champion, and a Veteran with a heavy bolter that forgot how to chill.

Need armor cracked? Eradicators were ready with melta rifles and a multi-melta for dessert. And Scout Squads helped snag objectives while launching missile potshots from the shadows.

Sternguard Veterans brought precision shooting and a heavy bolter that absolutely refuses to miss.

But the real flex? Three Storm Speeder Hammerstrikes, all kitted out with krakstorm grenade launchers, melta destroyers, and missile launchers. If their opponent’s list had a vehicle, it didn’t for long.

Flying above the chaos was a fully loaded Stormraven Gunship, raining down twin plasma cannon blasts, melta shots, hurricane bolter fire, and missiles just for fun.

Final Thoughts From Us: Goonhammer Open UK September

table tournament warhammer 40k players engaged

In the epic showdown at the Goonhammer Open September, the Ultramarines proved that sometimes it’s good to have a Primarch in your corner. The World Eaters took the trophy for sheer brutality. While the T’au Empire was left pondering whether they should bring a bit more firepower to the table next time.

In any case, it seems the 40k battlefield is heating up with the latest dataslate update, and these factions, along with Aeldari and Necrons, are set to keep us entertained as they all vie for supremacy!
