New Warhammer Horus Heresy Pre-Order Releases
New pre-orders are here for The Horus Heresy Age of Darkness, bringing a tidal wave of excitement for all 30k players out there!
Horus Heresy Saturnine Box Set Pre-Order: $315 CAD$375 £195 €245
Warhammer: The Horus Heresy is kicking off a new edition, and it’s coming in hot with the Saturnine boxed set. This box is a beefy bundle crammed with fresh minis, gear, and rules. It all centers around one of the most infamous betrayals in the setting’s long history: the Dropsite Massacre.
Inside this box, players get 50 brand-new miniatures, including:
- A seriously intimidating Praetor in Saturnine Terminator armor
- A battle-ready Centurion rocking MkII Crusade-pattern armor
- 40 Legionaries in the same classic kit
- Six Saturnine Terminators that look like they skipped leg day for arm cannons
- One hulking Saturnine Dreadnought
- An Araknae Quad-Accelerator Platform (a mouthful, but it goes boom)
- A pair of Disintegrator weapon sets, in case your Legionaries want to level up their menace
That’s not all. The Saturnine Box Set pre-order also includes the chunky 352-page Age of Darkness Rulebook, stacked with rules and enough lore to make any fan’s bookshelf creak.
Basically, it’s a one-box war party, ready to replace the current Age of Darkness core set. Be sure to check out the estimated values and pricing in our review article here.
It is also worth mentioning that Games Workshop is facing a backlash over their Saturnine box store policy, which you can read more about in our report from retailers.
Age of Darkness Rulebook: $70 CAD$85 £44 €55
Already got a mountain of minis, but just want a copy of the rules? The Age of Darkness Rulebook will be up for grabs on its own. It’s got all the rules, heaps of lore, and more artwork than a gallery exhibit on bolter violence.
Horus Heresy Liber Army Books
The rulebook is just the start. You’ll need the Liber Army Books to actually build an army that doesn’t fold on turn one. These hardback volumes give you the fine print, unit profiles, special rules, gear, and the all-important points costs.
Here’s what’s hitting pre-order and how much they will cost:
- Liber Astartes: $65 CAD$80 £42.50 €55
- Liber Hereticus: $65 CAD$80 £42.50 €55
- Liber Questoris: $52 CAD$63 £31.50 €41
- Liber Mechanicum: $52 CAD$63 £31.50 €41
- Liber Auxilia: $52 CAD$63 £31.50 €41
Liber Astartes for the goody-two-shoes Loyalists.
Liber Hereticus for the chaos-loving Traitors.
The Liber Mechanicum for tech-heads with big robots.
Liber Auxilia for Solar Auxilia fans who enjoy dying gloriously.
Liber Questoris for the Knights and Titans crowd.
Pick your poison, or all five, if your bookshelf hasn’t given up yet. Don’t forget that there will be a free PDF download available for the Custodes and Sisters of Silence as well.
Journal Tactica The Isstvan V Dropsite Massacre Part One: $28 CAD$33 £18 €23
This 48-page softback expansion dives into the opening phase of the Isstvan V Dropsite Massacre, offering new units for the Legiones Astartes and a Legendary Mission so you can rewrite history, or make the same tragic mistakes in miniature.
MkII Tactical Squad: $85 CAD$100 £54 €70
Need more boots on the ground? The MkII Tactical Squad delivers 20 plastic marines in that nostalgic Great Crusade armor. Fully compatible with your existing weapon packs, and more than ready to charge straight into enemy fire like it’s their job. (Because it is.)
Carta Galactica The Imperium of Man:
- Direct Order Only From Games Workshop
Feeling geographically lost in the stars? The Carta Galactica gives you the lay of the land, or at least the interstellar hot zones where things are constantly exploding. Printed on heavy poster paper, it’s educational and decorative, a rare combo.
New Black Library Pre-Order Releases
The latest Black Library pre-order titles are here; they’re hotter than a Salamander’s forge! So if you’re into far-future battles, mysterious quests, or tales of heroism, there’s probably something here for you.
The End and The Death Volume II: $16 CAD$17
The final showdown draws closer. Sanguinius is on a collision course with Horus, and this paperback installment has him charging through horrors on the Vengeful Spirit in pursuit of the ultimate grudge match.
The Vengeful Spirit Map
- Direct Order Only From Games Workshop
For the true lore nerds out there, the Vengeful Spirit Map is your golden ticket. Printed on cotton and bundled in a fancy faux-leather wrap, this piece showcases the interiors of Horus’ flagship.
It’s equal parts collectible and conversation starter, perfect for that one friend who alphabetizes their codexes.
Final Thoughts On This Week’s Pre-Orders
So there it is—the Saturnine Box is stomping onto the scene, dragging half the galaxy with it. From gearing up for another round of Isstvan mayhem to just wanting an excuse to hoard more plastic, this week’s Heresy launch delivers.
Fifty fresh minis, a rulebook thick enough to block las-fire, and enough Liber books to flatten a servo-skull. GW clearly didn’t come to mess around with this release.
