1st Place: Ryan Brown, Black Templars (Space Marines) Army Lists
The Black Templars rolled into the Boise Diamond Series like it was a crusade, and everyone else forgot their helmets.
Leading this righteous mob were three Castellans, all armed with combi-weapons and master-crafted power weapons. Chaplain Grimaldus was on site, too. Plasma pistol, Artificer crozius, and a trio of Cenobyte Servitors chanting like the end times were running late.
The Emperor’s Champion turned up, of course, along with a Judiciar.
Backing them up, we had a Lieutenant and three Marshals, all rocking the classic power weapon and combi loadout. The Marshals were probably competing over who could yell the loudest while kicking in a tank hatch.
For boots on the ground, a full 10-man Assault Intercessor squad showed up with chainswords, a plasma pistol, and a power fist sergeant who was clearly sick of plasma gun jokes. A 5-man Intercessor squad followed, tossing in some ranged support with bolt rifles and a grenade launcher.
Bladeguard Veterans brought the power weapons gleaming, ready to carve through anything that didn’t bow fast enough.
For heavy support, two Repulsor Executioners laid down enough fire to burn the heresy out of the atmosphere.
The Sword Brethren were each armed to the teeth and dripping with zeal. These were the Black Templars’ version of subtle: heavy bolt pistols, master-crafted weapons, and a swagger that could strip paint.
On the more tactical end, a Scout Squad handled the sneaky bits, likely quietly holding objectives.
2nd Place: Damien Owen, Orks Army Lists
3rd Place: Shaun Sharp, Dark Angels Army List
Final Thoughts From Us: Boise Diamond Series
At the Boise Diamond Series, the Black Templars rolled in like a crusade on caffeine. The Orks brought their usual ruckus and sheer numbers to the chaos. While the Dark Angels tried to keep their secrets under wraps (as always).
With the balance dataslate shifting gears for plenty of factions, it’s clear that from here, the top tables won’t be locked down to just one flavor anymore.
