1st Place: Joshua Minnich – Death Guard Army Lists
Joshua brought the stink. And it stuck, in a good way. This Death Guard list didn’t flirt with subtlety. It showed up bloated, armored, and ready to grind the meta into mulch.
Leading the parade of pus was a Biologus Putrifier and a Malignant Plaguecaster. One hands out lethal enhancements. The other spews mortal wounds like a public health disaster.
Two Lords of Contagion marched alongside them. Slow, relentless, and swinging harder than a power fist. A Daemon Prince of Nurgle took to the skies—well, hovered—with the grace of a rotting vulture and the attitude to match.
Then there was Mortarion. The Primarch. The problem. He’s big, he’s brutal, and he’s rarely on the board past turn three—because everything near him is usually gone.
One unit of Plague Marines handled the grunt work, scoring and holding while refusing to go down easy. They hit objectives. They hold them. They don’t wash their hands.
A Rhino helped move the Marines forward without losing half of them to opening fire.
Deathshroud Terminators brought their signature combo: unkillable and unpleasant. Great for shielding characters or simply parking on a point and daring anyone to contest it.
Four Bloat Drones gave the list some speed. Two with guns. Two with blades. Finally, a unit of Poxwalkers oozed onto the board to do what they do best—stand there, soak fire, and get in the way.
2nd Place: Brian Daugherty – World Eaters Army Lists
3rd Place: Kyle Trayah – Death Guard Army Lists
Final Thoughts on Army Lists
The Lorecast Major saw the Death Guard dominating the field with their gooey, unstoppable force, led by Mortarion himself, while the World Eaters proved that sometimes it’s all about getting up close and personal with your enemies—chainswords and all!
Whether you’re a fan of the slow, methodical decay or the all-out bloodbath, this tournament showcased why both factions are absolute legends on the battlefield.
Looking at these winning army lists and how their tactics work together can really give you some great insights for improving your own strategy. It’s a smart way to up your game!
