More images from inside the covers of the upcoming Necron codex have just been spotted! Come take a look at the latest rules for Imoteck, C’tan Powers, and a whole lot more!
Games Workshop just announced the upcoming codex release for the Necrons, and today we’re getting a look at new images of rules claiming to be out of the new codex (which GW confirmed the first batch of yesterday).
Let’s take a look at some of the images that were spotted over on Dakka Dakka.
We’re getting a look at the C’tan Powers, and one that stands out to us is the Seismic Assualt. This is going to let you pick a visible enemy unit within 24″ of the C’tan Shard. You’ll then roll a D6 for each model, causing that unit to suffer D6 mortal wounds on a 6+. Tesseract Vaults are getting a +1 to the roll, so they will only need a 5+. This is going to work out great for large units and swarm armies.
We’re also getting a look at a couple of unit datasheets.
Tesseract Vault is going to have 28 Wounds, a 3+ Save, Toughness 7, and a 4+ invulnerable. making it extremely hard to take down. The only weapon it has is a Tesla sphere which has a 24″ range, Assault 5, Strength 7, does 1 Damage, but it does cause 3 hits instead of 1 for each hit roll of a 6+.
BIKES!!! Tomb Blades have the Biker and Fly keywords making them a very useful unit to have on the battlefield, and with a 14″ Move they’re going to be pretty quick at the same time. They’re no the most durable of units, but they definitely make up for it in their abilities and attacks like a -2 S5 shot!
Transcendent C’tan is going to have an 8″ Move, 2+ WS/BS, Strength 7, Toughness 7, 8 Wounds, 4 Attacks, Leadership 10, a 4+ Save/Invulnerable Save. Its Crackling tendrils are going to be Melee only, but they had an AP -4 that are doing D6 Damage, and not to mention you’ll have the ability to pick a Fractured Personality ability before the battle. If you’re willing to try your luck though you can roll 2D6 before the battle to randomly determine two abilities and apply them both to this model for the duration of the battle.
There are even more pictures to be seen, so make sure you head on over to Spikey Bits Hobbies to see the rest.
Yesterday we got a look at images from the new Necron Codex that were later confirmed by Games Workshop. Additionally, we got a look at some information Superwar Gamer had on their Necron Hangout Discord recently.

One user on Reddit had a lot to say about the new codes:
Sautekh, Nihilakh, Nephrekh and Mephrit are the big winners here.
Sautekh gives Necrons a great boost in mobility as well as makes Doom Scythes and Transdimensional beamer Wraiths more viable. Also makes the Tesseract Ark better, like it even needed it.
Nihilakh gives Necrons a source of rerolls other than the Stalker, which can be extremely useful.
Mephrit is slightly dissapointing since our range is already so short that to restrict the bonus to under half is limiting, but S5 AP-3 guns on Immortals or AP on tesla is really really good.
Nephrekh totally changes how you’d play the army. Load up on assault weapons and tear your way across the board at a ludicrous speed for the normally lumbering Necrons.
Overall it looks like if these rumors pan out Tomb Blades may just be the hotness again, and those Stratagems are almost too good to be true, in most cases! Are you looking forward to these changes coming our way for the Necrons, if they are true?
