Jack of Clubs has done it again. This time, he’s painting a Bolt Action/Konflikt ’47 model using their exclusive paint set.
Today Wyatt will paint up a U.S. Army Coyote Light Walker from the Konflict ’47 expansion of Bolt Action.
The Warlord Games Rapid Deployment paint system (featuring Army Painter Paints) is exclusively used to paint up this weird tech from the sci-fi elements of Bolt Action. Painting up this bad boy mech with the U.S. Army standard issue paint job is going to be a treat!
After a Stynl Rez Red Brown priming, star off with Warlord Games own Bazooka Green. The main objective is to keep an authentic U.S. Army paint job that would go well with a walker type vehicle. An olive-drab light base coat goes a long way toward giving this model some weathering and character. A light coat from your airbrush is all you need!
Warlord Games Dark Gunmetal is next with the 50 cal shoulder-mounted machine gun. Army Painter Quick Shade gives a nice wash over the entire model. It will be a little thicker than you’re used to, so keep that in mind when painting. You can add a little water to help you hit all of the recesses on your model.
Once your Quick Shade is dry, go ahead and use your U.S. Army Green to add a dry brushing all over the model. This will give us a rough, tainted metal appearance on this battle-hardened mech. Go with light paint on your paintbrush to avoid a textured feel on your model.
After adding any decals you need on your model, Warlord Games Anti-Shine Matt Varnish will seal up your paint job. Give it a nice coat all over to protect your paint job.
