GW’s New Titan Class Looks Really Big!

By Travis Pasch | January 21st, 2021 | Categories: Adeptus Titanicus, Warhammer Rumors & News

titanicus-hor-walGW is revealing a new class of Titans on Saturday (and it looks really big) so check out what may be coming soon for 40k and Adeptus Titanicus!

There are many different things leading up to the reveal of GW’s titan class, at this point, it’s probably based more on fact than fiction.  Check out all the pictures we’ve seen so far, some old artwork, and theories to what we think has a high percentage of actually happening!

TL;DR

It looks like it’s going to be a new pattern that fits in-between Warlord and Imperator Titan in terms of scale and power. So far every model Titan, model in Adeptus Titanicus has a Warhammer 40k scale equivalent and vice versa, so it would be hard to imagine both versions of this new titan NOT being available at some point in the near future.

GW’s New Titan Class Looks Really Big!

Old Titan ArtworkThis is an old piece by Jes Goodwin from his 2001 sketchbook GW published. Hey, having it turned into a mini 20 years later must mean you did a lot right! Once we start comparing this to the new pictures we’ve seen, you may see a striking resemblance. This also wouldn’t be the first time they’ve done something like this. The Warlord Titan was also based on the old artwork (and models) then modernized to a new look in resin from Forge World.

This new possible class of Titan looks to be following a very similar path, where GW takes inspiration from old art but makes it look more modern, note the knee mounted armament from the sketch above and the GW’s latest teaser on twitter below:

All the Reveal Pictures Pieced Together

From the looks of this composite picture, if this is an Adeptus Titanicus model, it may stand bigger than a Warlord, but smaller than the mighty Imperator.

NEw TitanSomeone on the ADEPTUS TITANICUS 2018 Facebook group pieced together all the pictures we’ve seen so far. It definitely has a very similar look to the Jes Goodwin sketch with just some updates. Especially when you look at the legs, the resemblance is massive. You can even notice a new style Nemesis class style shoulder up there. It’s really cool to see all the images put together and you can really start to get a feel for what it’s going to look like.

Editor’s note we can’t really recommend joining that AT Facebook group as they banned me for asking a very friendly and thoroughly stated rules question. Pretty unfriendly bunch if you ask me…

Lots of New Minis for AT

AT KnightsWith AT being a newer game, you know it’s only a matter of time before GW puts out more minis. This year we’ve already seen a few pop-up and some classes we’ve never really seen before in Tiny Titan form.

That also sets a precedence for a new class of Titan. You know GW doesn’t like to sit idly by and let the games go without new minis! While this is all conjecture, there are so many factors leading to this one coming true. We think this is a pretty good guess at what’s coming, but we’ll know soon enough!

It’s also worth mentioning that the Warlord Titan is $110 retail for Adeptus Titianicus and $1.930 in 40k scale from Forge World.

Are you excited about the new mini? Do you think it will be a new class of Titan?
