We knew that Adeptus Mechanicus were getting their time in the sun very soon and with the datasheets beginning to get spotted, it’s coming up fast! Let’s check out the datasheet and compare it to the current one.
We have also seen the Electro Priests, Walkers, Serberys, and Dunecrawlers previously if you want to check those out.
New Belisarius Cawl Ad Mech 40k Rules
There was an IKEA-style sheet of rules spotted on Reddit so let’s compare it to the old sheet and see what’s changed.

New Bonuses:
- Solar Atomiser now flat 3 damage (was d3 damage)
- Arc Scourge now has an additional AP (was -1 now -2 AP)
- Omnissian Axe now has an additional S (was +1 now +2 Strength)
What we don’t know:
- Unique Weapon Rules?
- Invulnerable Save?
- Auras?
- Heals?
- Extra range on Warlord Trait?
Overall, Cawl’s weapons are getting slightly better by only getting buffs, however, most of this unit’s power comes from the unique rules like his reroll aura and healing. That means we will have to wait to see if he will be better or worse than before.
New Pteraxii Ad Mech 40k Rules
Another IKEA-style sheet of rules was spotted on Reddit so let’s compare it to the old sheet and see what’s changed.

New Bonuses (Skystalkers):
- Flechette Carbine now has range 18″ (was 24″)
- Taser Goad now has -1 AP (was 0 AP)
New Bonuses (Sterylizors):
- Taser Goad now has -1 AP (was 0 AP)
What we don’t know:
- Unique Weapon Rules?
- Redeploy/deep strike combo abilities?
- Sterylizors +1 attack on charge?
- Skystalkers Bomb style Grenade ability?
Overall, the Pteraxii aren’t getting weapons or stats changed much at all, with Skystalkers making it out slightly worse thanks to the range reduction. Hopefully, they get to at least keep all of their abilities.
Look for the Adeptus Mechanicus codex to hit store shelves soon. As it’s probably the next major codex release for 40k and assumed to be going on pre-order in the next few weeks.
