GW revealed the latest new Orruk collectible coin and free 40k Eldar miniature promotion going on right now in their stores.
The free miniature and coin promotion have been going for a little over 11 months now (well counted in coins, not necessarily actual months). To participate just head to your nearest GW store, and if you spend $100, you get the coin (while supplies last). But all you have to do to get the free figure is just walk in and ask, well while supplies last that is…
This month is a little strange because it has a different faction for the coin and the mini. Usually, they are the same faction. This time you get an Orruk coin and an Eldar mini.
Warhammer Community just unveiled the latest new coin and mini so if you want the Ork coin, save up at least $100 to spend.
They do one of these promotions about every month and the coins are based around a new faction getting a release next. Also, if you collect at least six of the coins, you can score a nice little binder to hold them in.
Let’s look at some of the most recent coins, then jump into the new stuff.
DEC: Genestealer Cults 40k Miniature & GW Coin Promotion
These coins are available on a strictly first come, first served basis, so get down to your local Warhammer store from Saturday the 4th of December and ask your store manager how you can get the coin and miniature.
Unfortunately, this one came out before Shadow Throne, so if you wanted the coin, you couldn’t just buy that box.
You can also lay the groundwork of your very own Genestealer Cults with December’s Miniature of the Month, a Neophyte Hybrid.** Even the greatest movements start with just one person, and this cheerful chap is perfect for testing out that colour scheme you have in mind for your next Genestealer Cults force.
The GSC mini was cool, but one won’t help you much in a GSC force!
Free Tau 40k Miniature & GW Coin Promotion
With the new Codex: T’au Empire on the way, the fleets of the Fifth Sphere Expansion are preparing to set out once again and claim more territory in the name of the Greater Good. Although they’re quite happy to talk you into it, they also carry rather fearsome guns, so it might be best to show them you’re already onside with this month’s commemorative coin.

This is one of the smoothest-looking coins yet, so if you play Tua, it will be hard to pass up. Obviously, Tau was probably supposed to be the be new January 2022 release but with the delays it didn’t work out quite like that.
As with all the free minis, they just open up a box and build them. So you didn’t necessarily get the above mini. Still, just asking and grabbing a free mini is always nice.
This is also while supplies last, so your chances of getting it early in the month is much higher than later!
GW Announces FREE Eldar 40k Miniature & New Coin Promotion
In Warhammer stores everywhere from Saturday the 5th of February, these Dire Avengers are tough and dependable warriors who seek mastery over the craftworlds’ iconic shuriken catapults, doggedly defending critical objectives in the face of overwhelming odds.
While it’s not the coolest or most wanted mini in the line, it’s still free! And hey, if you’re just starting an Eldar army, it will be a perfect test model for your paint schemes.
Speaking of miniatures, did you see this year’s Store Anniversary miniatures when we revealed them last month? You’ll be able to get an amazing Ordo Malleus Inquisitor and Kruleboy Gutrippa Boss at your local store anniversary this year, and – in honour of Haggok himself – this month’s coin features an Orruk Warclans icon.
The coin is for AoS Orruks, which is pretty cool, but we really were hoping for an Eldar coin to go along with the mini. But if you play the faction, then this is for you!

If you’ve collected at least six of the monthly coins, show them to the manager and you can present them in a handsome coin album while stocks last.
Once you have collected six of the collectible coins, you will be eligible to get a coin booklet that is perfect to display your growing collection! If you’ve grabbed most of the coins, at this point you should be able to get one.
They say all you have to do is show them the coins and they’ll hand one over while supplies last.
